Distance from canopy?

Ok I have 6 vero 18 gen 6 run at 1050 mah for a total of just over 180 watts. How far should my light be from the canopy? I have no lenses or reflectors so would 12 in be far enough away or should I be closer or farther away?
Edit: Also this light is in a 24" x 26" x 60" cabinet.

I looked and couldn't find any info on this and was hoping someone could help. There's plenty of info on the 3590s and vero 29s but since these aren't as intense I figured those distances wouldn't really apply in my situation

Those chips at that current can be placed as close as 5-6 inches from the canopy.

I run my cree 3070 @ 1.4amp and keep them 8-12 inch away.
And my cloning 3070 @ 0.7amp and keep it 3-4inch away if that helps give you a better idea.

Someone may have a meter that can prove me wrong but any closer than 10" is killing your uniformity in my opinion

10cm or so is fine too without lenses at that wattage


just try it mate, if u get issues back it off

I've had cxa2540(similar size cob) at 1050mA about 7cm from tops

He has 6 cobs in a 2'x2' space with no reflectors or lenses. I'm thinking he will have excellent uniformity at 6".

he will have nice hot spots and lower light levels between the cobs

The cabinet is lined with panda film so there will be some reflectivity but I think i'll start around 9" and go from there, thanks everyone for the help.
