When Russian hackers targeted the staff of Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., they took aim at maybe the most vulnerable sector of U.S. elections: campaigns.

McCaskill's Senate staff received fake emails, as first reported by The Daily Beast, in an apparent attempt by Russia's GRU intelligence agency to gain access to passwords. McCaskill released a statement confirming the attack, but said there's no indication the attack was successful.

"Russia continues to engage in cyber warfare against our democracy. I will continue to speak out and press to hold them accountable," McCaskill said.

Russia will continue this until the cost is greater than the benefit. Given who is being targeted and past history of collusion, we can expect nothing from the treasonous Republican congress.

Off topic here, but speaking of hacking, I just got a letter from Equifax yesterday that part of my drivers license numbers were stolen from that breach.....OVER A YEAR AGO.

It took Equifax this long to notify me?

No apology, no offer for credit monitoring, nothing but be careful and watch yourself from now on. I'm kinda pissed about this.
I probably should have already subscribed to credit monitoring service from my credit union, I definitely will be now though.

The Russians no longer love their children, too!

You'll believe the propaganda when it suits your agenda, even if your side uses what was previously from your "enemy's" playbook. Instead of realizing both teams are bought by the same owner who only looks to the crowd to see which side is rooting for the actors placed before you, and occasionally rewrites their roles to suit a particular fan base.

"In Europe and America there's a growing feeling of hysteria.
Conditioned to respond to all the threats
In the rhetorical speeches of the Soviets."

"There is no historical precedent
To put the words in the mouth of the president?
There's no such thing as a winnable war,
It's a lie we don't believe anymore."

""We will protect you."
I don't subscribe to this point of view.
Believe me when I say to you,
I hope the Russians love their children too
We share the same biology, regardless of ideology.
But what might save us, me and you,
Is if the Russians love their children too."
