DIY 5 gal bucket ultrasonic fogger cloner with 2 airstones

So i just made this cloner a little while ago, saw some people having success with ultrasonic fogger cloners getting roots in like 4 days, but i heard some people were having trouble with temps being too high, so i threw 2 airstones in there hoping it would maybe help with the temps and create some bubbles to move everything around and such, help get the fog up to the lid of the bucket... just put one cutting in there a little bit ago, not sure what to expect quite yet. anyone had any experience with these, anyone know if the airstones will keep it cool enough to have the fogger on constantly? ill post back on how my other pulled clones do once my mother is ready to clone in 4 days.

I've use one in my aerocloner and the fogger works great.. I always get 100% strong rooted clones.

But you must have it on a timer.. on 15min, off 30min, on 15 min. and so on

and did yours come with a black plastic floater type thing that it sets in so it can float 2 inches in the water? That makes them work much better

If you don't use the timer the water in your cloner will get wayy too hot and bad fungus will grow and other problems..

Thanks for the tips :) ... No mine never had the floaty thingy but after looking it up on the net i see the thing your talking about .

I got it dirt cheap and was experimenting with it here >> https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/344632-humidity.html#post4343847

But after seeing this post i think i might give it a go when i get to the cloneing stages ... Thanks again for the tip :)

I see that the OP just stuck his clones in foam .... you think he used any rooting compound ?... did you ?

sweet as! I have made few small buckets without the foggers before! had more success with them than in soil!! rapid growth
fast ass mainstem and nice roots!!
Have you ever vegged in that before?
What would be the minimum size bucket for a decent cfl grow?
I think ive posted one of my mini bucket cloners recently!

Dude that thread was from 2 years ago and the op only has 14 posts. You might be waiting awhile to hear back from him.

I made an "aeroponic" cloner that gives me roots in around 4 days...it just has a submersible pump and then like 5 or 6 sprayers...super easy to make and easy to deal with...and as I said I can take clones, and replant them into soil or coco after a week in the cloner...it was less than $30 and works like a charm...I covered my bucket in mylar insulation to help keep the temps down, I sometimes add frozen water bottles if the temp is still an issue...Don't use a dome...just make sure the clones are well trimmed and you should get great results..the foggers make everything look neater...or I guess the misters...I just got the sprayers...and while it doesn't look like a magic potion it still gets the job done...

Aww man I hate when I do that...but sometimes you search for info on something and it gives you something old and you just have to say something....lol

This is basically how my main grow setup is with totes and pvc spray bars. works good as long as water is pumping
