DIY Bubbler/Cloner - Clone Problems!

So I've made my first Bubbler/Cloner. Took health cuts from 1+old-veg'd mothers.
The clones have been in this bubbler for about 7 days. Maybe a day or two more than that.

-45Degree cut under water.
-slightly dipped into cloning gel (maybe I should not have done this??).
-Inserted into cloner and staked for support.
-Water PH'd to 6.5
-Water Temperature hovers around 23-26Degrees C (73.4F - 78.8F)
-Room Temperature Stable around 24-26D C (75F - 78.8F)
-Room Humidity around 40-50% (any suggestions how to raise this?)
-I know I need a better bucket and lid, I have it wrapped in a black garbage bag and another bag to prevent light penetration, but I plan on getting a solid black bucket asap.

What's the problem?
The clones don't seem to be pulling through. Some shrivel up and die. Others begin turning yellow from bottom fan leaves upwards.

One picture I see a little bump, is this possibly the beginning of a root?
What's up with the rest? Any suggestions?

THANKS! :smoking:

I dont dip in gel or ph the water. just plain water workes for me. Ive had some root in a few days but most takes me 7 to 12 days to get roots. also what size pump u using (PSI) with those spray tips.

118 Gallons Per Hour
30 Gallon Half-Submersible Pump.
Had A HUGGEE pump, but it was way to strong and heated temp of water 20+degreesC within 10minutes!
So I got this 30gal one.

All the stems are just right where the sprayers are spraying (I checked very carefully and staked them at that height).
What do you mean by moisture under the lid?

Is that little bump on that one stem the beginning of a root?

They look way to big to me maybe it's just me. I like mine about 6-7 inches with 2-3 inches of that under water. I don't use gel or powder either. Not familiar with a mister like that either. I'm using air stones. It might be a root, if it is chances are it's not going to pull through.

I see light shining through your bubbler, light kills roots. Completely light proof/tight is a must.
Wrap it with something water-proof and dark, duct tape perhaps.

Good luck

Water temp could be lower. It should feel cool to the touch.

Freeze a couple 12-16 oz bottled waters and drop one in then switch them every 6-8 hours.

Yes that white nodule is a root trying to start

Not going to go through all that funny stuff, I will pick up a solid black light solid bucket tomorrow morning.

No idea... is that a serious grow term or you being funny? Care to explain, I'm here to learn! =)

I've been adding warm water to keep the water just a neutral temperature (something a baby would like). Guess I should leave it alone, it stays cool to the touch then...

Hopefully it pulls through! I can't keep taking clones!!!!
