just wondering if anyone here makes there own ointment for pain. If so please discuss your methods. My dad is having severe nerve pain and due to all the medication he's on for his wolfparkensens disease plus heart problems he can not take any pain meds or even deep cold rubs etc. I have googled canabis salves and ointments with lots of results but was looking for first hand experience. Thanks in advance

Grow rock,

I frequently make salves - I usually use abv/"vapepoo" extracted via ethanol or ISO.

Add coconut oil at a 10:1 ratio

I add cinnamon, frankincense, and myrhh in mine based on greywolf's "holy shit! Holy anointing oil" recipe on icmag.

If you want a firmer slave, add some beeswax, for softer swap in some liquid oils (sweet almond is my go to)

Steep everything in a crockpot for a while to combine. You can whip it while it's cooling with a stick blender to give it a creamier consistency (and add shea butter).

Thanks brew

I was also thinking of using mint oil as it seems to add a cooling feeling. Just hope it helps my dad. Right now can't even lift his arm past his nipples and it doesn't help that he is already missing his other hand from a farming accident many moons ago. I can tell you one thing he's one tough fucker cut his hand off in the field 15 min from town and drove a standard by himself to the hospital. This was before cell phones unless u count those shitty bag phones. Any how I remember my grandfather washing the truck out after and blood was running down the drive way. He was air lifted to health science centre in Winnipeg were They told him if it would have taken him 1 more minute to get to the hospital he would have bleed out.

I swear by this stuff. Works great on dogs with skin problems also. Sometimes I wonder If I should rub some on before I enter my woman. Top Shelf Topicals from BC. Also don't complain about the grainy pic I had to go back in time to get this pic.

I use plain old grape seed oil ...... this is how I do it:

Put the oil in a container
Drop in some diced bud and trimmings ... decarbed obviously
Let sit somewhere warm and dark for about a month or so, stirring it up every couple days
Strain and put in a clean container of your choice
Profit

Works great for my knees depending on the strain I am using ... out of the strains I have, CBD Medihaze works the best for a topical rub

You can also cook with it, put it on salad etc....

I use my coco nut oil canna mixture on cuts...anything inflamed.... rash...you name it....

works 100% on eczema . Know a person who had it on their knees for 30 years and it would crack and bleed when he bent down... Nasty.
The first time he used it for three months and it went away..but came back..so he did it longer and it hasnt come back for two years now but he apply s it now and then still.. up keep ..changed his diet as well..
stuff works awesome for all kinds of shit
may have been the reason why 90 % of meds before prohibition had some kind or amount of cannabis it them...
then pharma said they could MAKE IT BETTER gotta get rid of the snake oil now see!!

stronger the better I say...
pure works well for basal cell as well ;)

Your dad sounds like a tough bastard, hope you find something that helps him. I use my coco caps orally but my GF uses whatever I have left over when I make my caps for her skin cancer topically. It not only works, it removes the spots completely, like they were never there. When she would go to get them removed, they'd always leave a trace and she'd have to go back. Hasn't gone for surgery in 3+ years since she's been using the oil on them.

The stuff we use for her is the left overs from my 80-100mg caps, might be worth a try.

I really like sift. Takes a bit of work, however cooking with it is clean, simple, easy....I see no waste as think there is using whole plant. I'm about to make a hooped up tincture with sift, I have 15g decarbed and ready to go.

Yeah I settled on sift for any edibles, as clean as you can get, and more consistent dosage/potency vs flower imo. Running dangerously low, too busy but have about 1 unit of popcorn and another of bud to sift this week, should re-stock my jars for a bit :D
