well hello there!! i'm finally up and running and once my seeds start to sprout i will be putting them into this EBB&FLOW system i have built

here are some pictures for you. i'll put them in order from start to finish and will be posting regularly on how the plants are doing what nutrients i use at what strength etc etc etc.
i have chosen maxsea nutrients. here is a picture. i had to order it from the states but i'm hoping it will be worth it. anyone else using this brand? what are your thoughts?
here are the rest of the pictures of the room and shelving unit i have converted into my DIY system. the bottom will be used at a later date. i didn't want to get too ahead of myself and buy to much all at once.
the very top will be used for seeds and seedlings. the neat thing that happened by accident is the heat from the lights below that top shelf acts as a heat mat!! i'm definitively impressed. i wont have to worry about faulty mats or having to plug anything else in

make sure if your using clay pellets to run the water through the system a few times. even if you strained the dust and such before hand. when i tested my water after it went through the filter the PPM was at 175. when i ran the water through the system the first time around and checked the PPM again it skyrocketed to 320. the second time around, it was around 230. so keep straining and straining until it comes down to almost or pretty much the point of clean water PPM!
although i'm not to sure if it will effect anything but i'm taking my own precautions on this one.
