ok this is confusing me i actually read the whole thread and it doesnt say what you can do if you dont wana use the valve...like is this the ONLY way it can be done...theres all this scientific talk about how it cant have oxygen until its being used with the plant..ok got it air tight so a open tube wouldnt work right? but a tube extends better the valve is only in the one place making is have a point of major concentration in one spot causing the need to turn the plant more than before...basically i want to kno a way to do this with a tube to extend around the plant not just at one spot...the valve is a great idea but very limiting i only have one plant and wish to have more of a even dispersement. or is that not possible?

My apologies if this comes across rude, but I don't believe you have read the whole thread or you may have seen the million times this was brought up before. You can use a balloon with a pinhole in the top or you can do what I did with mine.

Using an oxygen tube and some black electrical tape I do the same thing but can direct my CO2 usage more efficiently. To test it I just stick the tube in a glass of water and give the bottle a shake and it lets me know if the CO2 is still being emitted.
YOU CAN USE A BALLOON WITH A PINHOLE IN IT IN PLACE OF THE DOUBLE LOCK VALVE.

ok well i did read it all i dont like the ballon idea at all thats why it wasnt even mentiond so yea...sorry if i offended you but your tube isnt airtight so that isnt gona work as well also...so yea thanks but no thanks..just say no theres only the valve or half ass ideas that i could think of myself

The tube isn't big enough for O2 to get back in as long as the pressure from the fermentation process is still pushing CO2 out. No need to be a dick about it all I said was it has been answered.

I think is a brilliant idea but does it REALLY make a difference. Or is it just a placebo to make you feel better.

It adds 200ppm into your room so if you do the math on it :

1500ppm is the best growing condition for cannabis plants. Regular air has 300ppm on average.

1500 - 300 = 1200ppm deficiency without bottles.

6 bottles of this mixture will be close to buying the system that would regularly cost some money to get set up and have 1200ppm added to your room.

1500ppm gives your plants a 250+% growth boost, so 1200ppm would be a 160% increase in plant growth so therefore 1200 / 200 = 6 bottles and 160% / 6 = 26% per bottle.

Each bottle you introduce into your room is a 26%+ increase in plant growth. 4 bottles doubles yield if my calculations are correct.

I change out my bottles every week to keep it to optimal emissions every day but they would last for 2 weeks decreasing slowly until completely out. Hope this helps..

Good maths man, but i got told once that not to bother with co2 till everything else in the grow room is running at optimal conditions.

i used the same same mix to make the co2 but i have it in open top buckets in my gardens.there small grow boxes is it still going to work/

Great first timer set up for that little co2.Also a good thing to do if it is nice a warm in the grow room is spray well mist the plants with a plant sprayer with water that has been made fizzy a soda stream is perfect foe this use if you can get hold of one on e. bay.I also like the method that i have been doing but you have to be close to hand when doing this get hold of one of the realy small camping stoves the ones that take a nice compact small gas cylinder.Light it your gas stove up and make sure that your fans are off let it burn on low for about 10 to 15 mins you can have the fans running if the space is air tight this will help the co2 circleale the room better. But be careful when useing this method but it works but you have to be realy careful........................................................tyke....................................................................................................

Just added a couple more to my room and am finally able to upload properly. Here is how they look / are set up as of now. Just excuse the ugly look of the "old" bathroom. Needs new everything haha. Hey there you go though.

Just to veryify please. The proper ratio, as stated earlier is 1 whole cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of yeast?
Thanks

ps Excellent info to learn from, at this site.

Well I have 4 bottles in a 4x3 room and keep the temp between 80 and 85 and it works out great for me.

I have a question for someone about the spraying carbonated water on the plant's leaves. When should you spray? How should you spray? Will they burn under the lights? I know water magnifies the light so I didn't know if this would be effected the same way. Any accurate help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :bigjoint:

This really is not complex. Put some yeast in a bottle add some sugar and water, shake it up after a few days when you shake it you get a big pressure release. The yeast will grow and multiply. When the pressure drops add some more sugar. Every few weeks pour some out add some more water and sugar. Yeast are living and dieing organisms. Want another bottle pour half in another bottle add sugar and water to each. You don't need a valve or tubes at all. If your fan runs all the time it will circulate throughout the room. Feed yeast they grow. Yeast are simple organism. Don't make it hard.
