Nice Nice..... I only have 2 suggestions.

1. get a back up airpump if you don't check too often. cheap insurance and more air don't hurt

2. no olives on the pizza when you invite me over to smoke and munch.... ok olives on half.....

I owe everyone pics. since my last pics i've also build DWC!!! i'll take some and post sooooooooooon

Good luck.

ONTHEDL..... you are everywhere my bruddah!!

Yea deff.. I have an air pump running in the AG and a aquarium stone. lol its a small res. well it looks like it but, well see what i can work with it.

Right after this grow i'm thinking i'll build the DWC system. Invest in this 400 watt HPS/MH light, and these General Hyrdo 3 Part Hydro series nutrients and ill be on my way. lol :hump:
I would need to get something for ventilation though. :-|

Bro thanks man. Respects. Just ride this one out and learn from it. Alot of things can be learned from A/G and Applied to DWC. The second step in cloning actually.
Once ur clones start popping out of the pots..... Back ur water off. I sometimes do this daily.
The bubbles created in dwc kinda create there own misting over the roots and help them grow into the res of water.
Bro, ur going to be a dwc master im sure
I just have a question about what i should be having the seeds exactly in? I have an AG master kit and it has like a whole shit load of sponges, could i use them?

Thanks bro. I'll be posted for some updates with your grow.

If you look thru most of the insane grows here U will see mainly peat plugs"spongues"
Ive tried everything man. These things work the best especially for new growers. They come already pre ph'd. Unlike the rockwool where u have to ph water, presoak for 24 hours. Maintain vigourously blablabla.
All u do with the plug for success throw it in some tap water, sueeze it out a few times in the water to get the stagnant air out and then shake out a lil.
Its easiest to pre germ in a paper towel and drop the tap root in the already manufactured hole.Put it under low intensive cfls and let it do its thing. 100% grow rate from pregermed seeds.

You have a guide for bubble buckets? if im right i think i seen one in one of ur pictures on a previous page. Well anyways nice guide.

Bro u can easily build a bucket in the same sense i built the tub. Heres a couple pix of different buckets ive built.

For a 5 gallon bucket id say u would be fine with a 20 -30 gallon water pump found at petsmart or petco even walmart. Get urself the biggest stone they carry.Set ur bucket up, fill it with water turn on the air pump and ur all set.

The key to building a bucket is very simple.Theres really only one. U want it light tight. Zero light penetration on the water inside the bucket. from there its smooth sailing.

U can get most of the stuff at corner stores if ur in the U.S. Otherwise search hydroponic supplies in the search bar and shop prices.

id have to drive 120 miles to get to a walmart and if i do that then id just go to the hydro store there. my town has the basic living stuff. more bars then anything.

Yea i ordered online for a long time till i discovered a store literaly right around the corner. Dude u can get some good deals online bro. cheaper than going to the dro store.
Whitch brings me to ghetto buying. We do make paper on paper street but we dont do that to just give it away. Another rule that should not be taken lightly.
Just some food for thought.
I brought a printout of my dro stores online sales prices which are 30-40 percent cheaper than instore prices with shipping!
And simply presented them with the following scenario. I could order these things from there online store for much cheaper and have them shipped to my door right around the corner. or i could buy them right there and the salesman gets his commision. If they didnt want to match there online prices instore then i would simply order from the store in my next closest state. And still get the supplies 20% cheaper with shipping.
The point is that there are always ways around obstacles and u just need to find the proper path.thats the 6th rule.

This is completely awesome, great for someone that is not wanting to spend a fortune on a SOG system. And the cost can't be all that great either. Fantastic work on the DIY +REP for sure on this one.

Yea lol i only spent 39 bux on this thing and im going to grow 13 plants in it like I completely lost my mind. Check out the current tub.

Instead of 2 8 inch air stones, could you use 4 4" air stones? Also, I'm confused on the process of actually planting the seeds. I'm new to this, btw.

Theres nothing wrong with being new. I consider myself a new grower as well.
I think there is anything wrong with supplementing several smaller air stones for less bigger air stones. Keep ur pump as close as possible to ur tub cuz the impedence is going to come more from the distance of the pump from the tub than the splitting into more air stones in this case.
The more air the better.
Yes Germination sir. U can actually germinate seeds in plugs placed directly in a dwc system. But its best to germ them and allow them to generate a tap root first. Reason being, Simply some seeds just dont germ. And i dont like to waste plugs or time on seeds that simply arent going to produce........Whether in a plug, paper towel or otherwise and there are many variables for this.
Its best to get them to crack develope a tap root and drop them into the plug. I can assure u complete success when growing this way in any system and the less u stress the seedling during germ time ensures better male to female ratios ive found.
Once u have germed ur seeds and drop ur tap root into the presoaked plug. Which brings us to seedling transplantation.

Transplanting germed seeds in plugs into a DWC system is really quite simple.

Once u place ur germed seeds into the plugs. Fill the net pots up allowing enuff space in the pot that u can place the plug in flush with the top of the pot and hydroton. Place ur water level in the res(bucket, tub, whatever) @ the bottom of the pot or a lil above it depending on what size pots u use.
The whole key is u want ur rock to be moist. The bubbles created in ur res will be plenty sufficient enuff to force water up into the rock to stimulate and force root growth down into ur water and nutrient supply.
Do not over water! if ur rock is moist this is good. If u see bubbles popping at the top of the rocks back it off till they are moist and dark and not wet.

Once U have established root growth on ur seedlings and the roots begin to grow out of the pot. Back the water off a half inch below the bottom of the pot to further manipulate root growth. @ this point u will begin feeding ur new plants.

Its all really simple. Follow these simple instructions i can guarantee u not only 100% plant grow ratio but more like 80%Female to male ratio.

Hope this helps. First starting out i realize that everything can be overwhelming. The trick is to try not to make it harder than it is.
If someone lays out a proven technique and u dont understand it fully at the time just do exactly as told. all things will make sense later.

What strains are you growing? And why not start with smaller pots in a your grown and veg so that you can transplant into the larger pots when the babies grow older? I think that you could have a killer sog going with a few different adjustments, however i don't want to mess with a good thing. And speaking of good things....keep those good things growing. AS far as the split of the hoses, the more pressure you have going into the stones the better you will end up being, yes more o2 into the water is better, but if your going to jump down into the smaller stones and split your line, you may want to invest in a higher pressure air pump. This is just to make sure you have adequate air going thought you multiple lines.
