DIY Hydro Thingy

but on the contrary...this IS bubbleponics/dwc

you said it yourself "where the bubbles mist the rootzone"
Well, yes...

But I was under the impression that DWC was when you had your roots in the solution...

In this cloner, the roots will never touch the water, the will stay in the airspace above (cause as soon as they have roots, the go into a pot..lol..)..

They are receiving a mist, much like the "aerocloners", but simpler...

I'm not trying to argue...lol..

It's a piece shit bottle..lol..

But, since there wil be no part of the plant ever IN the water, I thought it was not DWC...

Not a true aero, bt not a tre DWC either...

But what do I know...

I hope I get some roots...

I added a little bit of rooting powder to the solution today... I hope I didn't fuck it up..lol...

Cheers.. :joint::peace:

i've never seen any bubble cloner where the roots are submerged

all the dwc and bubble cloners i've seen have roots above the res level and have 'bubbles' mist the clone stem hanging

So what's the differnce between a DWC cloner and an aero cloner?

Just the plumbing?

in theory some dwc/bubble cloners mimic aero from the bouncing of the bubbles and the misting action.

dwc is aerated water which the roots eventually grow into.

aeroponics is the use of 'air' as the medium to incorporate more explosive growth. that coupled with cycles of water misted on the roots allows it to get maximum o2 and water.

I thought I'd flower one of my duplicate moms...

So I threw her in the "thingy"... I hope I can manage the size...lol...

Here we go...:eyesmoke:

Now that I look at it.. it seems to be going very slow...

But... there is no actual light dedicated to any of these plants...

So I guess I can't complain of free bud...:eyesmoke:

;-)

They look good dude and like you said they are just using the leftover light so they are basically free haha. Thanks for the pics Gypsy, I like following along with all the projects you got going

Thanks Tom...

It just makes me mad to think that I loose enough light to have another 3 or 4 of those "thingys" around the room... ( but I do need a walk path..)

Can you imagine if I could actually revert 100% of this light back to the trays???

I bet my yields would increase a lot...

but would it be as much as the extra plants...?

stretched and kinda weak.. but they represent at least an extra 100 budsites right now...:hump:
