DIY Led filter for 7000K ?

I recently bought a LED fixture for the kitchen area in my boat. It was advertised as a warm light -12 volts and 9W. No mention to the component LEDs used. I disassembled the old ceiling light, installed the new LED and flipped the switch - WOW - just blinded by the blue brightness. I am very happy with the fixture and the amount of light but the color has to go. Can you think of any material I can put in the clear plastic cover to soften or change the color to something acceptable.

guess ebay n else offer them too in smaller qtys.

sounds good, choose the strenght to your liking.

Yeah, there are several companies who make gel. Lee, Rosco, and Gam are the most popular. This is a good place to buy whatever type of gel your heart desires:

Thx gentlemen- I had though of that route but I only paid $13 bucks for the fixture. Hoping to find a cheap option here. Should I be looking for a yellowish/ cream color filter or ?

look for some orange, amber and see what you like.
the filters linked above dont burn.
shouldnt matter much for a few watt led.

Piss inside of the lens. Can't do it much cheaper, and will give you a real nice warm glow.

It will probably be cheaper getting a decent spectrum led i stead of a filter
