DIY Passive cooling with PIN Heatsinks SST120 and SST140

ordered 4 of the 140s 2 weeks ago. Was on a thurs. So i figuered a few days until they recieve payment and would ship. after a week of no email for tracking, I call and find out something happened with my payment in their system and it didn't go through, but now it went thru and they said it would be shipped last week thursday. Again, no email. Messaged them today, they are again out of stock and I'm on a 4 week waiting list. Ordered these nearly 3 weeks ago. Funny how no one can keep them in stock now. Maybe biting the bullet on shipping from china isn't such a bad idea. Gonna have to cancel my order the 120's are out as well.

I personally reachout to all customers when they order heatsinks to let them know I am here incase they need any help with their project. So I know all customers and orders very well.

I did not have any SST140 orders in the last 3 weeks on Thursday.
All SST 140 that I had on order have delivered status.
I ship same or next business day. One exceptional order was shipped in 2 Business days as the guy had wrong email ID and emails were bouncing back.
I have not had any issues with any payment and nor have I been contacted for any such issue.
Last SST140 order was on Apr 19th when a regular customer ordered 4 heatsinks. He wanted more so I gave him 8 and gave him the option to pay for the other 4 in 3-4 weeks. SST 140 has been out of stock since then.
No I don't have you on any waiting list.
No I don't do any pre orders or take money if I don't have stock
Yes please order from China.

Seriously? I wasn't flaming your business, nor your business practices. Initially, I thought I got caught in between stock counts. But when I saw this thread, I saw you indeed had some stock at the time. Everyone is sooo touchy about their start-up cob businesses. I've been following you guys since the tech talk videos. I think you are great for the community, as well as Supra,GG, & Growmau5. I'm at work. But I will definitely get you the order/receipt #. Find something better to do today? Ha. Funny. So touchy. I can see why. People on this site will roast you apparently.

Yes the heatsinks for 3590 are sold out. I try to help the diy community as much as I can.

Robin sent me 4 of the 120 heatsinks FREE , AND paid for the shipping! Emailed me and everything just like I was a paying customer , so I have a hard time believing he is trying to scam you. Thanks again Robin.

@robincnn, I'm told the package came! First off let me say, my first and only post here may have come off in the wrong manner and that is on me. Thank you for the welcome kind sir. I have been reading,learning,referencing and copying info from here for a couple of years. Kinda embarrassed I joined and that was my first post.

A grow buddy was doing the ordering as I am away at work(offshore). We'd ordered the cob,lenses,drivers and reflectors together from KB before I left. GG wasn't in stock atm. Thee ONLY thing he had to order were the heatsinks. GG didn't offer them, cutter didn't/doesn't sell them individually at the time,and you were out of stock at the time before my departure. 4 days offshore and he informs me (after daily website refreshing) "They are in stock." I tell him "Good order them." Now, I don't get very much communication where I'm at sans a phone call or two from home. My online use is minimal at best. Long story short, I assumed they were ordered when he told me he did, He didn't. A few days rolled by,he goes to order, they are out of stock again (I'm thinking) but he doesn't tell me this does he? Nope. Apparently, finally ordered the sinks. But tells me he may have ordered the wrong kit. "KIT"? Lol yup, now I know he ordered something he wasn't supposed to.
He mentioned sst 120 30/70 and some other random numbers and gibberish i couldn't understand out of pure rage. These options weren't available when I was visiting the store site. I can't get emails here,we still have archaic flip phones so no email or visiting the site then. I'll certainly be over to see what's new once I'm done here now that it's the w/e and I'll be heading back to shore and home. When possible, can I message you. I'm sure he screwed up and was trying to hide the fact that he waited too long to order. And just ordered anything to keep me at bay. Hoping he could get the right ones before I return. Nah!!! Quick question, are the heatsinks all the same measurements just different holes drilled? 3070 3590 and vero29?

@ThaiBaby1 . That is what you gathered from what I posted previously? I wasn't trying to make anyone "believe" I was being "scammed." Certainly not a bunch of online personalities/strangers. Admittedly, I was pissed and rushed to join and comment. Error on my behalf. Misplaced frustration. I know Robin is good people. I wouldn't have ordered or have an order placed from his business If I thought otherwise. Reading comprehension is pretty rare here eh?

3070 uses 35mm spacing with ideal holder. The 3590 cob is almost 35mm. If i drill same heatsink for both 3070 and 3590 then there will be a hole under corners of cob if you use 3590. I am trying to avoid any hole directly under COB as a best practice. That is why the current combos are
Option 1 - Heatsinks pre-drilled for Vero 29 and 3590
Option 2 - Heatsinks pre-drilled for 3070 and cobs in this list that use 35mm spacing.
The heatsink size is the same.
Unfortunately I am out of Option 1 heatsinks for now. It will be a few weeks before I have more. GG may have them sooner.

@robincnn , thank you for the answer. At the time I was browsing your page, the second option wasn't there. Apparently, when he visited it to order, the second option 3070 was available and he just ordered it without thinking. Lol no way to salvage these? I soooo wanted to start building. I just knew you were going to say,"yeah you just have to tap drill and tap the extra holes." Thanks again. I'm out.

Get 3070 for the 3070 heatsinks. Citizen cobs that use Ideal holder with 35mm spacing will also work.

You can tap new holes and use it for 3590 but i would recommend waiting for a few weeks to get a heatsink that has holes for 3590
Wait might just be worth it as prices will go down.

Thank you sir, will do. It was just a pipe dream that it could be Mcguyvered somehow.I know/knew better. Now just gotta decide if I want the 3070's. All of my research has been for 3590's. Time to go back to cob class.

I'm on my way! But ran into an issue. The lenses are perfectly fitted but leaves no edge to sit on any angle aluminum. Ideas? @robincnn

Can you tap the edge of the base on HS and attach it to angle instead with something small like 4-40 hardware?

I was thinking that but it's kinda awkward to use angle. I might order that 80/20 extrusion grow mau5 uses. @Growmau5 where do ya order that stuff? You said it's like a $1/ft in your last vid?

A screw on top left and one on bottom right.
So instead of mounting on the middle of a side.... mount on the corner edge.
