I am trying to achieve a sealed room grow but have some confusion as to the proper set up.

MY rooms space is:

8L x 5.5w x 7.5H

My Plan:

Enclosed Coliseum/ScRoG:

I have already built my shelving units on wheels which will hold a total of 60 females.
Water cooled lights 2k Hybrid MH/HPS Bulbs
Vaportek4000
440 CFM Whisperline fan
Air Box Stealth Edition 2 - 1000 CFM
Diamond Fusion Lightite Film
Eye Hortilux Super Blue Bulb 1000W x 2 (600w HPS/ 400w MH)
Air King oscillating wall-mount fan - 16 inch
CO2 Boost Kit
Small Boy Water Filter System
Horti Trellis
120 site Ez-Cloner holding my babies as i type under a proper T5 4 bulb (thinking about upgrading to a 400w HPS)

i'm sure you get the idea I am spending money to do it right and have done the research into my methods and madness :P my main goal is to have this room sealed without having to vent but ensuring proper air circulation and CO2 coverage. I will be purchasing a Cap climate/atmospheric controller to control my lights,fans,co2,ppm...here are my questions.

1. Do I have way to much air circulation with the room size and the amount of air flow I have with the 440 cfm, 1000 cfm, and 16" air king? is too much circulation a bad thing?

2. Anyone have experience with the Whisper-lines and Air Box Stealth Edition?

3. How do I properly construct and operate a sealed room? I am willing to purchase whatever I need to in order to accomplish my goal!!!!

4. Any suggestions or recommendations are welcomed openly and appreciated I am new to this but am trying hard to do this proper if there is anything I should purchase due to not sharing my entire list of equipment please throw it at me.

Stay Chaka and Peace,

Thanks Robert I am patient very very patient :) Just noticed the 70 views without a single response. My main question here is the proper way to set up a sealed room.

The items on my to be purchased list are just to see what people think (overkill or not or better suggestion?)I will start a journal once I get everything up and running...the sealed thing really has me baffled in terms of heat, humidity, ventilation and circulation.

Either way thanks for replying.

You need an A/C to get a sealed room working.
The reason I see making a sealed room is to run CO2 more efficiently.

1. 440 cfm is not too much, in my opinion. target cfm would be 100 but given that the reflector your using is probably the 6 inch inlet and the available centrifugal fans for 6 inch has a 440 cfm rating. just saying we dont have many options when the reflector requires a specific size ducting, unless you step it down.
here is a link to an air exchange calculator.

2. i have not used a stealth box filter. i know someone using one. it works for him so he likes it. i think he liked the way it looked more than its specifications or technology.

3. as for properly constructing a sealed growing environment go to this link. it is very detailed.

also, do a google search for CGE: closed growing environment.

4. never give up. keep thinking and picturing this setup in your head. think things through before pulling triggers, so to speak.

Yea that is why I am asking I am new to this...this will be my first attempt...so any help is appreciated

Thanks for the encouragement I never give up this will be my first attempt at this and I have been planning and saving for it for over a year. MY main concerns are sound, smell and environmental control I have seen the CC article before the info is helpful but I have limited space. I will look into the info you suggest.

A buddy uses this type of set up without the water cooled lights and sealed room but he can get away with it :P. On Avg of 48 girls he gets anywhere between 3-4.5 lbs.

I know with the carbon filter and the vaportek4000 I should not have to worry about smell I just want it to be efficient. Remember I am working with a medium size space 8ft x 5.5 ft x 7.5 ft.

My walls are fully spray foamed , Homasoted and Dry walled ovelapping all seals so i have sound covered and moisture i hope.

I am planning on using the CO2 boost buckets any opinions are welcomed or suggestions.

Overall I feel comfortable where I am and by the end of next week will be fully operational. Look forward to sharing my experiences and learning as much as I can.
I will include pics of course and look forward to some +rep for trying ; )

I ramble a bit due to excitement sorry for that.................. best regards and appreciate the help.

Not sure what CO2 boost buckets are but i'd go with a proper CO2 GEN or Tank and reg setup.

Get some air cooled hoods and a good carbon filter. Get incoming air from the coolest location possible. Select a good location for outgoing air. Run the room when it's coolest outside(nighttime). Get a good soil-less mix and some "smart pots" 3 to 5 gals. Get a good strain and don't over water of feed. You'll be amazed how simple and good it can be then play with the different setups if you want. Simple is good. No pumps to fail and res to heat or cool and Ph. Water when they need it and support the buds. Also if you are thinking of the CAP controller look at the Sentinel. I like it better myself.
Also don't grow to many plants the first time flower when there is plenty of room still in the room, you will need it. And flower them by 12" or they will get very big. good luck
