DIY Vapo

Not really a tut on DIY, just showing my DIY. I guess I could break it down into steps once I'm done. Have to go out and buy a dimmer switch small enough to mount to the can and a couple of grommets to make my tube and power cord exits from the can look good and professional. Might as well do groceries while I'm out so it'll be a bit before I update, plus I'm not running out right this second. Gotta get my bake on lol.

Jam Jar
Heinekin Mini-keg can
35W soldering iron
Dimmer switch
2.5' of 1/2" ID tubing
Bowl was made by me on a lathe
Grommets were kicking around my geerage

Total cost to me - $15.66 I only had to buy the dimmer switch and tubing. everything else was around the house or I made it at work.

I think that's it, plus electrical tape, hot glue gun, step-drill bit, etc.

wife took the camera with her tonight. But the thing works WONDERFULLY! The amount of 'erb I put in equates to like half a pinnersonal and I'm stonedededed lol. So clean too, don't have that smokey pasty "Where's that soda at" feeling. Upsized the jar too, the bowl was too close for my liking as it got the glass fairly hot and I don't like shards of glass in my corneas :D Will post pics when I can take them.

how can you tell when it is the right temperature?

I pulled the thermometer out of my BBQ and stuck it in the bowl. Came back an hour later (that long just to get a nice steady reading) and it was pretty close to the temp I wanted (in the 340-390 range). Then I just used a felt pen and made a mark on the knob and the can.

Oh thats smart 340-390 is the desired temp for vaporizing thc?

potvaporizer.com said:
THC boils at 392 degrees F. Thus if it is heated to 400 F the THC boils and produces a vapor. This is not hot enough for it to burn so it does not produce the toxic products of burning.
i figure 340-390 guarantees that I'm not burning leaf.
