I'm looking to buy a separate tent to veg in but trying to do it on the cheap if I buy a half decent tent i would have to buy lower quality lights on the other hand if I buy some better lights then the tents out the window....any ideas IV been looking at the secret jardin range of small tents but if I bought one would these lights be sufficient enough to veg under T5 LINK FLUORESCENT FITTING 28W if I used x2

48 w's total of florescent? Be ok for propagation. What size veg tent are you looking at?

I use a small veg tent. 50cm x 50 cm x 100cm and 130 W of CFL works pretty well to veg.

Any recommendations on where to look for CFLs it's mind boggling to me the amount of choices there is ... My main setup is a 1.2 tent with lumii Digi ballast 600w hps I just was looking for something smaller/cheaper for a veg area so I'm not entirely set on that secret jardin tent I'm really just looking for recommendations/ideas as to which direction I should be looking

Recommend getting 2 more of those fluorescent fixtures for a total of 96 watts for that size space. You can buy cfls at a hardware store if you'd rather go that route.

I lined a cheap wardrobe with panda film, added a 4" exhaust hole at the top, two 4" vents at the bottom on the back of the wardrobe, screw a power board in there, add some weather strip around the doors to help stop light coming out, add a few fans and CFL lights and you're good to go.

Most of this stuff I had laying around anyway so the build was very inexpensive, if you have or see an old wardrobe laying around, mabey look into it??

That looks nice and bright in there and the girls look really nice

I noticed the yellow sticky, have you had many issues with gnats?
I grow in soil so always use stickie. Every pot has a small piece on top of the soil and I have larger pieces hanging around. Its a very cheap, effective way of lessoning the chancers of having issues.
I see the odd gnat, especially a few days after watering a new batch but ive never had a problem with them.
