DIY with Quantum Boards

Cool! I like simple and DIY in the growroom. Its why I like auto pots, no power, only 2 moving parts that even though plastic, won't wear out for years, an ingenious and elegant valve design that fills the tray about 1/2" then dose not open again until the base is dry. Using organics in the pot and plain water in the res, now I can spend time on/with the plants themselves.
Can you show a pic of the valve, showing how it works?

Quantum- Oktoberfest growing * arrogant bastard in hand

3000k in the " infinity mirror " room ... Lol
Lamp is now lighting a GSG ( middle ) with 2 blue girls ( my cross ) which has some slight pheno variables apparently ( look at left one ) , so as I keep " dusting " the better looking plants ( which I did to the KOMAKUSH) , we will see what I get. Last seed run was good and have a shitload left of this EXPERIMENT ....

The mirror like reflection is really bright ... So I will keep going.

I fucking love me some Guinness. Draught, Extra, Foreign Extra... It's all mother's milk to me.
I'm spoiled, living here in Colorado. There's a whole slew of great breweries making amazing stout beers all around here.

Speaking of mother's milk, an example; Lefthand Brewing Co of Longmont, CO makes an amazing Milk Stout, both naturally carbonated and on nitro;

Makes my mouth water just thinking about one!

Seems like alot of work cleaning those compared to a flood and drain :p having 20 of those would be too many small parts to keep track of in my opinion.

That being said, 4 or 6 of these would be managable :-)

Colorado is a great beer state. I'd say we're both spoiled though - I live in Michigan. Founders Breakfast Stout on tap at the brewery is pretty hard to beat!

Some of my best friends own a lil brewery not far from my house. I like to joke that Dave is handicapped- he's apparently unable to brew a mediocre beer! He makes a very smooth Storm Mountain Stout. Ask him to make a Caucasian with it for you... you'll be anything but disappointed.

For anyone who finds themselves in the neighborhood;

Buckhorn Brewery
4229 W Eisenhower
Loveland CO

This is starting to sound like a game of one-upmanship and that's totally not my intent, really! It's just nice to talk beer with another aficionado.

No worries, brother! I'm always happy to hear recommendations from other craft beer lovers. I'm a big fan of Colorado beer. Went through Denver a couple of years ago, but sadly didn't get to do much brewpubbing; only got to hit one small place downtown (can't remember the name at the moment, but I have it logged). Hoping to go through again next year, so maybe I'll arrange our route to pass through Loveland.

I live in the Lansing area, which for too long was a craft beer wasteland; had to go to Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo for a good selection of breweries. Thankfully, the beer revolution (like the impending Cannabis revolution!) was undeniable and unstoppable, so we're finally getting good locally brewed beer. Really good, actually!

Edit: had to give props to the breweries in Traverse City too. That town is a fucking haven for anyone who loves quality. So many great breweries in such a small place.

I've run 10 with no big effort. The valves give no trouble, I only clean them at the end of the grow. I make a spare harness of tubing. When I run coco and use nutes, I swap the the harness, takes 2 minutes. I use a 30ml syringe to clean and flush the used lines and reassemble the harness, a 5 minute job. I never have a plugged line that way. This being just water, I won't do anything till the grow is done. Now what's hard about that!
And I use no power to run it. No pumps, its gravity fed. This is almost as simple as a pure wick system, and KISS is my grow principal!
