@sixstring2112 HLG-240H-C1750 can run 2 boards in parallel

Cob in parallel with board not a good idea. but
3x Cree 3590 or Vero 29 36V in series may work in parallel to 1 board. I think board you got have voltage around 107.xV
You can try 3x Cree 3590 in series or Vero 29 36Vin series or a combo of both
Then check board current again once heatsink temps stable as Vf may change

no i think you misunderstood me bro,i just want to put 2 x qb per 1750ma driver so i will have 2 of the meanwell 240-1750b running 4 boards, plus i will use a 185-1050b for my 5 cobs.no mixing cobs and boards for me lol.i guess im trying to find out if those 240-1750 are good drivers for 2 x quantum boards in parallel ? and also what will be my top wattage per board in this setup if using the 1750ma driver and 2 x qb ? someone had said 125w each so its using the whole driver? if so i like this :)

So you guys are keeping the board about 11-24" from canopy ??
I'm sure it will vary depending on how you drive them
Mine will just be the 90 watt I wonder how close I'll be able to run it

So far this is what I've found "and can change" This is what I have written down and running 2 boards at 100W-125w in a 2x2 reflective tent. I don't have a high end light meter and just going by what the plants are telling me.

I did have a mishap as my plants stretched "very fast, seemed like over night" in flower. I didn't realize the light was only 9" from the light causing slight yellowing at the tips on the tops. You can just make it out in the pic.

Light height two boards at 100W-125W

Germination/seedling 24" - 30"

Vegetative 18"-24"

Flowering 12"-24"

Not sure on etiquette on pushing another thread in a different forum, but we are/were trying to grow lettuce with cobs in the thread below. But it has since changed to more of a trying to grow with low cost led options. Attempting to achieve that sweet spot, between light cost, cost to run, and getting the most millage out of the lights. I think that one of these boards, perhaps at a higher number 5k+, might be worth looking at.

When the 5k lights come out, if anyone picks one up, would appreciate it if you might give a run of lettuce a try and let us know how it went.

Nice build!
What peppers do you have?
I am jealous, I havent grown any super hot peppers in 2 yrs and store bought Habaneros arent cutting it
Those are legit MOA (Jamaica Ministry of Agriculture) Scotch Bonnets pictured...a friend works for MOA and sent me a genetics gift a couple years back...they were tougher to get than lambsbread genetics lol...makes for an amazing jerk sauce...have had a few neighbors scramble home crying after tasting my carolina reapers

I am curious what light is better for veg only, the 4k or 5k or is it still undecided?

Also is the 4k and 5k going to be avaliable in both board sizes?

"The only fire i can grow in this state are hot peppers lol...had some holiday fun with this quantum build...thanks."
That is a very nice build! I love the custom dimmer housing! And thanks for the PAR map! Guessing you have the boards at ~125W?

Am I crazy but wouldn't a similar 550W quad-board fixture not compete with a DE1000 on a 4x4? One q-board on center per 2x2 grid....

I mean, the giant wharehouse ops have the gavitas stuck to the ceiling, with the whole room is getting an ambient 400-500 par. It seems like the same ballpark with the q-boards at 24" over the canopy.

I guess that would be the test, is to see how far can still get a good reading....

just need to cover the ceiling of a 10'x10 room 25 boards, lay down, take a nap, and see if you wake up with a tan! :eyesmoke:
