I think you would be surprised.
Just went and measured.
The tallest plant in my cabinet is 36" out of the pot. The boards are 18" from that and even the bottom buds are rock hard and frosty.
I'm only running about 70w per board. So with a lil more power I think you would be happy

My 600W ballast just blew two days ago, second time with the same brand too kind of pissed me off to be honest. But I know it's very early on for me with this QB light but I am loving everything about it so far. We will see but this is pleasing me much more than my old 3590's thus far...........

I like the way plants respond to them for sure l, both these moms are big enough that if I gave them their own 4x4 and a 600 they'd probably fill it up. Gg4 stretches like a mofo also. Basically I'm asking these to do 3gpw+ with the size of the moms or in sacrificing yield, I can also add 400 watts of cobs in there which may be the better decision. 800 watts I would be happy with over the space I think haha.

I would be very interersted in mixing these with COB's going forward and was already thinking the same as I will have some new COB's to play with tomorrow :)

I can't mess around anymore this run with lights, as I have a test to do comparing the QB to COB's, and the COB's will be in tomorrow. It was going to be a comparo vs the Blue MH but the ballast took a shit and it's not the first one and I just didn't want to risk another one blowing out before the run finishes and not being able to have a complete run under it you know.

Next run I will be able to play more. But I am really liking the way things are starting off with this QB light..............

And @robincnn is top notch to deal with. My 3590 builds I got my parts from him as well but those lights are off in a better place serving the new owner well from what I am being told.

I will be starting the new journal sometime next week for this run and I am very excited and interested to see how this plays out. :bigjoint:

Thanks man! I had them between 1-3" the majority of the grow then raised them another inch last week and another inch today. Looks like 6" is ideal for me.
I'll still start nice and close again next time but back off a little sooner.

Any chance you'd elaborate on what lamps you put in the t5 tombstones? Just uv or what? I run a combination of t5 and led and just picked up a couple agromax 10k finisher in 2ft length. Also if its not just for uv how are you driving them? No quantum board questions so sorry for that.

hey are running 63C to almost 70C @ 20c room temp

2ft grid

center 420ppf
6" out 350ppf
last 6" 220ppf<--slanted the meter towards the lights

@12"
center 890 ppf
6" out 620 ppf
last 6"330 ppf slanted the meter towards the lights
