DIY with Quantum Boards

Love that expensive J-box you installed for your potentiometer. Why did you use that?
They aren't too bad, I used a cheaper verson on my other light, no hinged lid or nema rating but I splurged for this one. It allows me to easily access my fuses and houses all my connections. It's non conductive, keeps everything dry and safe as well and it's light weight.

I didn't have to modify the Slate 5 in any way to mount everything either.

Under the other rig, currently running at 270w (3000k), still trying to bounce back from being tucked under for the last time last night.

After a second look I saw that the driver is wired in the box as well? the setup is beautiful. I am mounting all drivers and lighting controls outside the tent to maximize real estate, and protect the electronics.

Thank you! Yep, all connections are made inside the box.I thought about going remote as well and mounting the power supply and controls on a common board or in a large can, but for now in the tent on the lights was easiest for me (plus the power supplies are ip67).

They create such little heat I have a hard time keeping the humidity low sometimes. The tent temps want to hover around 76*f with my fans cranked up to exhuast the humidity.

Quantum Board Related .......... POT ROCKS on the 4th of July !

I made some infused candy for the " troops " at home using Candy Dream grown with my QB setup . Buds were curing from April .... And a little GDP keif . The Quantums have my grows in constant rotation ... So I made some infused glycerin which was the THC component of the candy mix . Purple jello pack mixed into hot corn syrup / sugar mix , then spooned into power sugar shaped molds.

Happy 4th @robincnn and @Stephenj37826 !

Not Quantum but thought them worth showing. Got a pair of Autocobs from cobshop. As a test grow, I'm running one light per plant. Drivers are 60 watt, no dimming. These are nice, dead simple cob setups. Plants are Dinafem CBD Haze autos. These have been bred by a collective of growers and they have been selecting strains with the highest CBD. From Dinafem, the ratio is 1:1 CBD to THC. These have been selected for a 10:1 ratio. I was gifted the seed. These are my first high CBD plants.

Nice looking ladies.

Be very careful with dangling loose bits infront of your cobs. I left my Pico connector wires loose dangling infront of my veros and they got all burnt to shit lost all colour when bent the coating turned to dust. It took like 2 years for them to get that bad but I didn't think it was possible lol. I'm not saying the rope will just burst into flames any minute but if something bad happens it's best to have the loose bits tucked out the way.

I actually just redid my lights so everything was tight as that scared the poop outta me.

Be safe ;)

Yes I fixed that after the pic. I had just adjusted the height of the light. Keeping them at 24".

Are there lenses on those fixtures?

Fellow growers,

I assembled my 2 260w kits today and they lit up on first try! (Yay!) I followed the video for wiring and am getting between 98-300w for each fixture. With 92% or so effiancy that put its at about 276 w.

Sounds about right? The low side was concerning as I was expecting closer to 160w per fixture but it came to 98w or so. Happy surprise honestly as I plan to veg at minimum power. Just wanted to make sure my numbers looked correct.

Edit: looks like I got qb 304s!

Is that over a 4x4?

Nice @pop22 , Do let us know your thought on the fruits of your labour with those girls. I'm wanting a High CBD strain and I really rate Dinafem seeds. I know its a while away yet.

@pop22 running in a new cab and maxing at 400watts, panels 24inch above the canopy this time round, lets see what results I can return. Binned one plant since I broke the poor girl in two(plant that is lol).
I was thinking about you the other day when In my garden. Because I'm amazed how close my boards are @ 200w per pair. Literally 4" away from tops of buds. I was going to raise them but not seeing any issues at all so keeping them as is until I crank up the volume to 11.
Worth noting though that they are Incredible bulk and supposedly can take any sort of beating you give them. So maybe that's playing a part.
Speaking of which, the cob side are ready to chop tomorrow. I will take pics before I cut them. Note the weight ect. The QB side is a clone of the Cob side so its going to be good to see any differences.
