DIY with Quantum Boards

Erm it’s kind of how ever my 4 ladies grow. The tent is 5x5 but it will probably be around 16-20 sq/f of plant. I may use my blurple late flower if I’m not happy with the coverage but I doubt it.

Does that wattage look about right? Between 98-300? Seems good but I just wanted confirmation.
I've got 4 cobs with my 4 quantums in a 4x4, they're really covering the 9 girls well .

My 2¢ .... For those still wondering about 3500k seed to veg . It has proven to be a good " all around " middle ground spectrum for my tent setups. I almost thought a more " bluer " spec would have to be added , but am liking the growth so far.
Although supplement " VEG " light might boost things , I am digging what the boards do on their own. This rig is running QB 304s and I have picked up some QB 288 for a separate build but I really like these as these just keep the " crops " coming in.

Tops seem to have more symmetrical growth ( on all sides of plant ) ... No More crazy corner stretching or parts of plant stubbier than others. Look how little shadowing is seen inside plant.

@robincnn @Stephenj37826 ....... You're doing GOD's work ! ........... LOL

Need to mark out the dial for wattages but threw this together today, final QB rig (for now).

4x 3500k 288's on a slate 5, dimmable up to 320w (all I need to cover is a 3'x3' tent). My other light with the QB's spread out more definitely has more even coverage at a lower height, I'll have to run this one higher at more power to get the same coverage but not much to cover 3x3.

I've had fine results vegging under 3000K. The same lights kicked ass in bloom, so I'm kinda scratching my head over why anyone would want more blue?

Exactly ..... There is this fringe thinking that high blue / royal blue / Toilet cleaning puck blue is a necessary evil. I agree 3000k/3500k gets the job done. My new build I did is 3000k QB 288s and the plants are loving that one too.

What is everyone wearing to make sure they don’t go blind??

I had some awesome green led glasses that were like $70 but under 3000k they were well...green

So I picked up some cheapo polarized glasses for like $20 at target last night and boy I still need to keep my head down in the tent or it’s green and blue squiggles everywhere lmao!

Are the cheapo glasses enough / the best protection? Or is there something better? I already have troubles hearing out of my left ear due to stupidity I don’t want to have eye issues also lol.

Edit: old glasses were method 7 led glasses.

There's no UV from LED lighting, therefore no risk of macular degeneration. Use a baseball cap to shade your eyes from the lights. Consider shutting some of your lights off while you work in the space.

Edit: old glasses were method 7 led glasses. I use polarized sunglasses which work fine and block uv. Got welder flash from old cmh when I forgot to wear them more than once. Feels like sand in your eyes and makes them water bad. Shakespeare and Berkeley both have them for $10 to $25.

Lost significant hearing in my left ear long ago from shooting without protection and more from a lightning/thunder strike a few weeks later.

Hi I have a question will 4xQB288 boards work with a HLG-320H-C1400B connected in series? the 54V version? or should i get another driver? and will it be enough for a 3x3 tent? i want the B driver so i can dim the boards. is 3000k the best boards to get?

Not Quantum but thought them worth showing. Got a pair of Autocobs from cobshop. As a test grow, I'm running one light per plant. Drivers are 60 watt, no dimming. These are nice, dead simple cob setups. Plants are Dinafem CBD Haze autos. These have been bred by a collective of growers and they have been selecting strains with the highest CBD. From Dinafem, the ratio is 1:1 CBD to THC. These have been selected for a 10:1 ratio. I was gifted the seed. These are my first high CBD plants.
