Took a look and called them out on their X3 specs which state: 1 HLG QB 288 equals 2 X# strips. NO........ seeing they use the exact same chip, you'd need 3 X3 strips to equal a QB 288. Which also makes them about $20 more expensive than a QB

Look at SOL STRIPS - stateside from sunny California.

Short drive for me .... hee hee :bigjoint:

Open a place out here so I can sleep on your doorstep .... lol

Last time I was here, people were talking about a/c hps vs. Qb's and heat output. But that wouldn't be a fair comparison unless the Qb's were a/c also. I've had this done for a while already but I've just been busy. It's 2- Qb324's inside of a Xtrasun 64. I chose 324's because I couldn't fit 3- 288's or 304's. I wanted more power than 2 of em could give me. The hlg-320 driver I put in it originally (which fit perfect) was only putting out 309watts with pot. connected and 318watts w/ the dimming lead open. Maybe it was the resistance of the quick connects I used. So, upgraded to the HLG-480h-c2100b. Max power now, about 475watts. It is BRIGHT A.F. I don't plan on running it the full wattage. But like what I have in my gun cabinet, it's better to have it & not need it, then need it & not have it. Then I got stoned and wanted a rocker switch, a voltage meter, a pretty knob for my potentiometer. Haha. I said "pretty knob". N that was that. As I promised a month or 2 ago. An a/c Qb fixture. Thank you to all the peeps that I have gotten info from and let me pick their brains. And thanks to HLG for their great customer service. Peace. P.S. my phone wouldn't take a good pic at full power. So I had to take a pic of the voltage meter up close. 15349101015881829828461.jpg 15349102597081632047476.jpg 1534910388258-5296762.jpg

And I'm an idiot that apparently can't read........ I mixed up the specs for the X2 with the X3. Apology emailed lol
