DJ Short strains

i have heard so much about DJ short and his genetics I wanted to try out some of his beans. My fav banks are out of stock. The only place that I've seen with original blueberry is single seed centre. why are they the only ones in stock? I requested that the seeds be left in the original breeder packaging.

Anyone have experience with them? Are they reliable?

Hemp depot has them. Thing is with dj's seeds is they have been sitting for along time at most places causing poor germination rates. Id email hemp depot ask them how new there stock is from dj and go from there.

Exactly what Booms said, check how long they have been sitting there for first. Have you checked all banks? Seedsman, Herbies, SoS, Tude, the Vault, Bonza?

Careful. I bought a pack of BB off the boutique (few years ago) for almost $200 (cnd). Only 2/10 beans popped. They have a few diff strains in stock there and on sale. If your still interested.

A lot of Chimera's strains are crossed with DJ's gear. You can check into their stuff if interested. They're a fraction of the cost.

DJ's original Blueberry disappointed us greatly. Half didn't germ and the ones that did had weak structure, low yield, low potency, and poor flavor. His True Blueberry was better in all respects - especially flavor and bud density. Had a little more potency also but neither was something I would reach for if I was looking for heavy duty effects. True Blueberry had a very pronounced Anise taste that was quite desirable. This was about 4-5 years ago that I had these strains.

Grew Flo a while back. Poor germination. 3 out of 10. The 3 that took off were female, but the taste and buzz were thoroughly underwhelming.

You guys must got some bunk DJ short seeds, from clones of his seeds I have grown its been nothing but fire. I had the blueberries, flo and grape krush and were all really good and a great breeding stock if you breed.

Just get Dutch Passion Blueberry Regular instead. Original Blueberry stock from DJ Short :)

You can grow GHS clones that will be fire too, someones done the selection how much selection was done is the question and from what I have seen of some of his plants quite a bit is needed. Which doesn't jive with his prices.

What are some breeders and strains that you would rate at the same quality as DJ short (during his prime)?

A fellow riu member has already suggest Mr. Nice and plan to grab some of their black widow

Every time I see Chimera mentioned it's in praise. I really gotta get some packs of his goodies.

Bodhi, I've only grown 2 plants from him so far with a couple more in veg, but they have exceeded expectations. I'd recommend Blue Tara out of the couple I've grown. Solid yield, a little long-in-the-flower but the yield is great and the nugs are rock hard beauties

I had a couple issues with my Grape Stomper OG's but i would recommend that strain still, I chopped em down today and they are beautiful plants, I've been smoking on some prechop nugs off it and they are pretty bomb.

Also had good luck with DNA, everything I've grown from them has been respectable.

From what I've heard, you need to run a ton of seeds from Mr. Nice in order to find something of high quality. Like 25+ seeds. Not something to just throw a couple beaners and add to your collection. A LOT of selection, trial and error. I'm sure if you put the time in you will find something special but with newer breeders (like Bodhi, GGG, Loompa, Archive, etc) you can find something just as special or better with much less digging.
