im thinking about trying my hand at extracting some DMT, ive done my research and it sounds amazing and i dont really have a souce for in where i am so making it is my best option right now. I am thinking about using this tek provided by floridasucks http://forums.mycotopia.net/dmt-spice/58086-whatchas-easy-mhrb-stb-extraction-step-step-pictorial.html which seems to be pretty easy to follow, ive taken a look at some of floridasucks posts along with ANC since they seem to be the most knowledgeable on this matter so if any of you see this post any tips you can offer would be awesome. I am a little confused on the wash at the end, i wish this link had the pix still... fuck!! someone help me out before i attempt this shit

and does anyone no where i can get some bark, all i find is the powder and i heard barks easier to work with

this is quoted from an english site that quoted a german site lol little explination on why

This quoted from a German website:

"Under normal circumstances, aluminum does not react with water, as an impermeable protective layer composed of aluminum hydroxide either forms within seconds or is already in place. With the addition of sodium hydroxide, the formation of a protective layer is prevented. With the production of aluminates [ Al(OH)4 ]-, the amphoteric (capable of acting as either an acid or a base) aluminum hydroxide Al(OH)3 goes in solution:

2 Al + 6 H2O --> 2 Al(OH)3 + 3 H2

Al(OH)3 + NaOH --> Na+ + [ Al(OH)4 ]-

A layer of aluminum oxide previously formed by passive corrosion is dissolved by the addition of sodium hydroxide. For this reason, the reaction takes place at the beginning relatively slowly:

Al2O3 + 2 NaOH + 3 H2O --> 2 Na+ + 2 [ Al(OH)4 ]-

The aluminum completely dissolves and the water acts here too as an acid (for an analog, see Experiment 4.4.1).

This reaction is used in drain cleaners. They are mostly made out of strong alkalis, to which alumunim or zinc has been added. The alkalis break down organic residues chemically. In addition, the formation of hydrogen leads to a bubbling effect which adds an additional mechanical cleaning mechanism."

The big problem here is the formation of hydrogen gas (as well as some heat). The hydrogen gas is flammable, and if it's in a closed container, will explode.

lol i dont know, but i used a fifth bottle that had a "metal" lid and it was ok... However, I don't think a pickle jar is ideal for an extraction
