do i cut it

i am about 3 weeks into bloom and my papayas r looking huge, i have been told never to cut anything off but since i have been looking on here, alot of u seem to trim the bottoms of the plant to get air around the bottoms and to get the food up to the tops instead of feeding all the stems and leaves that are not really going to get that much bud as they r not seeing as much light

i give hair cuts accordingly usually right at flower time and a week after I like to keep all the bs on the bottom trimmed off if you look at the diff sizes you can figure which ones are growin and which ones are just wasting time
