Do I give up on these seedlings?

I was bored and decided to EXPERIMENT with the double-cup bottom feeding system that I had seen Khang Starr (youtube pepper plant guy) use on his hot pepper plants. Grew a few strains from seed and they did well until this week when the wilting began.

Fed with tap water - pH balanced to 5.8, Aerogarden liquid nutrients, Cal-Mag 50% strength
300W LED Grow Light, 60% RH, 77º F

Roots were looking great for two weeks, but have now browned a bit and leaves wilting over the last 2-3 days.
Wondering if there was too much water and I should have used significantly less, not used any nutrients, or just give up on this method.

This is what I figured, but I'm new to Cannabis. My garden is full of veggies only right now :-)

Can I re-pot and just treat them as normal?

Try potting them up in some general purpose ( NOT Miracle Gro). soil and hope for the best. At proper temperatures you will probably be watering them only every three to four days, depending on the size of the container you use.
