I veg my plants under 6 t12 tubes and they work well. How many plants are you planning on growing?
not many i have ordered ten seeds and expect to get perhaps 2 or 3 females out of that

so i'm guessing three plants under this lighting

do you think that 4 will do in this case?

oh, and i noticed in ur gallery you grew California Orange
that's what i ordered
any tips on that specific strain?

Dude, I think you misunderstood, he said he veg's under them, not flower.
T12's are not very efficient at all, if you want flouros, go with the T-5's.
If cost is an issue, use CFL's to flower with.
Peace

I wouldn't rely on fluoro tubes for a complete grow. If you are strapped for cash go with CFLs, if not go for HPS.

okay i ended up getting them, but can i just use them for two months (to veg) - then when i switch to 12/12 add like 4 cfls?

:hump: I have seen several examples of bud grown from T12 light. some good, some bad. Light is exteremely important. I have five plants flowering under one 400 HPS fixture then I have four 42w CFL's hanging just below the canopy to assist with lower branch budding. It's my first grow and so far all looks good.

By the way, I cut clones, rooted and veged under 24hr florescents then switched to HPS to flower. I'll try to attach some pics.......
