for growing in a small space, I'd want to be able to grow from start to finish in the same cabinet. would it be better to get a lighting system that can change bulbs from MH for the veg stage to HPS for the flower stage, or can I just go with HPS all the way through. It is a tight space, looking to scrog - need plants to be short and bushy - cab will be 30"-35" high.

also, for the cab dimentions (~ 25"w X 20"d X 35" ) should i go with 150 watt or 250 watt? would 250watt be too much heat for the space?

Thanks

you can use hps all the way through but its better to buy a mh conversion bulb for your hps ballast. thats what i use , saves on buying seprate systems and lso saves on using hps for vegging and ending up with small plants.

any way to make your space just a little taller? i have grown with both a 150 and a 250 watt hps. the nugs are definitely denser and higher quality with that extra wattage. you will need good ventilation with the 250 though. the 150 is managable in that small space with a few computer fans.

cab dimensions probably won't change width and length wise - will look for a cab of up to 45" though if that would help. - if the plant will do better i'd want to look for ways to cool a 250 watt - any suggestions? also what is a good small carbon filter that can fit in the cab? still planning this all out... space is very limited.

so i think im gonna go with a 150watt hps. I would like to find a 150 watt Metal Halide Conversion bulb so i can use it with the 150w hps ballast. I'm having troubling finding the conversion bulb in 150w. Anyone know if these are available? Will I notice a difference if I used the 150w MH to veg? - will the mh keep the plants shorter and bushy - i need short plants for my 33" high box.
thanks for the help!
