Hello everyone,
I am currently about to start my first grow (Seeds are germinating as i type) and i have some questions about my light. I have a Led Comet Magenta 400 that i purchased off of Hidhut. This light is 90w and i was wondering if that would be enough to do 4-6 plants all the way from seeds to harvest. I wan't the best yield i can get so i am considering purchasing another LED if need be but i wanted to ask on here first. Thanks for your help everyone.

If you can grow 4-6 plants in about a 18"x18" area, you'll be fine. 12/12 "mainline" style grow might be your best bet. Keep that light at 30" high for the first 3 weeks.

I have a 330w led in a 2x2 area and that is hardly enough. The problem with LEDS are that they don't penetrate deep enough to hit the lower bud sites. So you will only get bud development at the very top of your 3-4 foot plants. If you want get 2 more of those lights and use it as side lighting to assist with lower bud growth.

Thanks I will think about using some CFL's for side lighting because the LED's are very expensive but thanks for the advice.

LED tech is hit and miss. Look em up on youtube. There are several grows comparing diff brands, usually against an hps or mh. Anyways theres a quite a few and some even are timelapsed. WARNING: Theres a lot of bogus setups. Check the wattage thats on each individual bulb. 3w show better penetration compared to 1w and 2w. Im lookin into a blackstar LED myself. Its not crazy expensive and its been proven by accomplished growers.
