Do plants need air during dark period?

Hey guys sorry for the basic question but do my plants need air during the dark period? I guess what I should say is I know they need it but will it greatly damage them if I just shut up the tent for 12 hours a day? Because I haven't been able to afford a fan and ducting quite yet.

they will survive this but I think you're looking for more than survival right?
To avoid issues like mold you need to have air moving full time, temps spot on and controlled humidity.

OK thanks. I did a grow like this before so I know it's possible although not ideal. I'm just trying to do the best I can before I can scrape up some cash for a fan and ducting.

Have you got a filter in there?. If so for now leave tent vents open as the filter will pull clean air in . But you really need to sort it out asap. Get 2 oscillator fans in . And make sure u have ducking on a low port hole running to another room for fresh air or to an open window close by

Right yeah I got that. The higher port will duct out the window, while the lower one is just opened up to the room.
You should be ok as long as the bedroom stay 65 to 70 . 60 to 65 is better. Run the duct directly to a window ac in the room or another room. Build some contraption to mount the hose to the cold air output forcing the cold air into the ducting. Use this for intake at bottom of tent use lot of duct tape if you have to. This will help you control temp as acs draw air from inside the room not outside the window. A digital ac with temp control works best. Put thermostat in middle of tent not in direct light dial ac to optimal temp.

My 2 cents worked for me. Z

Good luck. Happy growing.

We always vent heat out the top seen as heat rises. Cold air sits at bottom so we intake from there .. I'd intake from the same room but from a window . That's pure fresh air can't get much better than fresh air from a open window .. I have mine vented out a open window . And also have fresh coming from the same open window ... u need fans inside the tent to move the air around this also moves the lady's and makes the stems strong. ..lots of light . Lots of air movement lots of intake .. u will be ok

From my experience, growing plants with the doors closed during dark periods with no ventilation does effect growth substantially. I had a tedious grow a couple years ago in which I opened the door to my hallway "grow" closet at lights ln to bring in cool air and keep temps down and shut the door at lights out. I had an oscillating fan inside. Plants grew like shit and took way too long to finish. And lord forbid if you accidentally leave the door closed for lights on, plants would be fried. Find an old pc fan or something atleast and wire that shit up, your plants will suffer in the mean time. Good luck!

Bathroom exhaust fan is a low buck option. If you find a habitat for humanity surplus store. They have items one could use and decent prices. It won't be fancy but it'll work.

Bathroom heater is a poor man's furnace. It'll heat pretty good in the winter.
