Do we need more Bernie threads?

Should RIU admins limit the number of threads about Bernie?

  • Yes, it was necessary when the Paulbots were here!

  • No, Bernie needs all the help he can get building a facade of popularity!

I'd be in favor of removing ALL political threads that aren't directly cannabis related. Do we really need political talk here? Aren't there enough other places to bicker and insult?
Then the propaganda trolls would flood the main forum and push their politics there. At least this way everyone can enjoy the main forums and yell at people to take that crap in here if they try.

Biden seems like first stage Alzheimer's setting in
And he still owned Bernie Sanders in last nights debate, and he didn't even have Warren bailing him out when someone looked his way.

Bernie was struggling hard last night, it seems like he is a hostage now and realizes it.

I would like to see a Biden/Klobuchar ticket. They stand out to me as the 2 most positive energy on stage. The both look truly happy to be be debating. They have the biggest smiles and exude the most positive vibes and true love passion for the job! They both have great personalities and witty sense of humor! All the other candidates appear to be in pain and angry, depressed, high blood pressure and just unhappy! Joe and Amy are a solid choice and come with loads of experience with a proven track record. Unbeatable together!

Liz is Bernie's bulldog and is straining at the leash to bite the bankers, she's looking for the VP slot and If she continues to run cover for Bernie she might be considered, she can also formulate and execute policy. Bloomberg might be better off backing Biden, one of the problems with the moderates and right wing of the party is they are dividing the vote between themselves somewhat, a few need to drop out and Biden is hard up for cash. Warren is on borrowed cash and time, so she will most likely go soon, as will the rest at the back of the pack.

Yes, I absolutely agree with you about Warren being Bernies dog. She is definitely a Pittbull. All she dose is prop Bernie up when she is sopposed to be ripping into him her with teeth! I have come to really not like her at all anymore and see her lame Okie background show up and it’s makes me sick. Her voice now makes me cringe. See her Kissing Bernies ass and having crazy personal meltdowns on stage so unfocused makes me realize she is not in it to win. She is completely insane and needs to go back to her senate seat. What a disappointment!!

If political talk wasn't allowed anywhere, people who try to pollute main forums with politics could be flagged and banned and shunned. I don't have a super strong opinion on this... if people really want political threads, that's fine. But this notion of limiting the front-runner's threads but not the less successful candidates sounds fishy.

Why should anyone care what you think? If you don’t like it then don’t bother coming to the section or participating. Your complaining about how negative it is yet you come in and drop a negative post. Just go away and please don’t come back , you whining little egotistical pussy.

Its more that with the Russians/other countries/Domestic trolls spamming the sites and creating sock puppet accounts daily it gets to be another kind of censorship, they are trying to drown out and destroy any civil conversation.

That is the trick, by creating this tension between us it actually stops conversations because everyone devolves into fighting.

Its not about propping up one person or another, it is about pushing back on the flood of militarized trolls who have unlimited funding to attack every comment section on every website.

The op raised a question... presumably asking for opinions. I gave mine. That's a lot of hostility you're throwing... did I do anything to deserve that?

First time posting in this forum (guessing, haven't seen you before really), at the same time we got a flood of new trolls spamming the site, and making it seem like this forum should be shut down is pretty much asking to get attacked for trolling. Could just be horrible bad luck on your timing though.

I never go up the road and tell the Amish how to live or what to talk about. I'm not much on their politics but this is the USA. Opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one but some are bigger than others.

@hanimmal haven't posted much on politics. I've posted plenty on cannabis. If I was a troll, I wouldn't have spent the time writing 349 posts on weed before getting to my political agenda. It's a crucial time for politics and I took a look at what's going on after recent results.

For real there are people that have been shown to have done just that. Welcome to the forum, there are a lot of very smart people in here, even if the trolling gets intense. Remember you always have your ignore option if you get attacked, which if you attack people first it gets pretty relentless.

Nice to meet you.

Thanks for the welcome and a calm explanation. I doubt I'll stick around much for the mud-wrestling though. Have fun, guys. Be kind.

No Problem, just arm yourself for you and the people you care about with knowledge of what is going on. It is hitting everyone and having a very negative impact on our society.
Are you guys worried about paid Bloomberg trolls? It's been pretty widely reported that he's launched a nearly billion dollar media bombardment... mainly to stop Sanders. I don't know how you know who's trolling for who. Putin's trying but I imagine he's not the only one trying to attack online forums. There are a zillion different agendas out there and they can all use the same tools to promote them. I don't know... the waters get so so muddy on internet forums. That's why I wonder if RIU would consider getting rid of the whole thing. But that's not my call. I'll live either way.

Have not seen any yet. He seems to have a flood the advertising on Youtube/Television/Radio and not focused on propaganda.

I also haven't seen him attack with any lies yet either and he has tried to stay away from the Democrats, mainly focusing on Trump.

The nice thing about having this website to talk about this stuff is that we can see it and talk it out before we get slammed with it and are alone and unsure of what is happening. The thing the Russians/Trump trolls have been using is how separate we all are with how we get information. Propaganda using data analysis tools and AI to build personalized disinformation political ads.

I don't know if you could necessarily "see" a Bloomberg troll. It would just look like a person that doesn't like a particular candidate other than Bloomberg. Pro-Bloomberg statements would be more obvious and maybe not their tactic.
