Depends on where you buy your water. I buy my water from a water shop, I know that stuff is good. I only said to wait to add the calmag because I would hate to see him going through nute defs due to pH being off, add calmag and correct his pH...only to have too much cal or mag in the medium and cause another type of lock out. I am a big believer in having your pH right before messing with/correcting nutes. Just my personal opinion.

Dolomite is great stuff though. You may want to think about using it next time if you stay in soil.

I wouldnt wait to add the calmag either. calcium is the compound in dolomite lime that acts as a ph buffer and stabalizer, adding that should help raise your soil ph. adding a couple tablespoons of dolomite lime when you mix your soil can help buffer your ph and provide calcium and magnesium.

I get the water from a machine at the grocery store. i can't remember the name of the company. I do know that it IS reverse osmosis water. On the front of the machine it clearly states R/O and shows all the cycles and filters the water goes through. The tap water in my town is usually in the same range of pH as the R/O water i get. That is why I was wondering if R/O water is normally pH balanced or not?

I just purchased a bag of "Horticultural Hydrated Lime". I'm assuming this is the same as dolimite or similar, since the intended use on the bag is for soil.

I'm going to go ahead and add the lime along with cal-mag soon.

flush it with 7.0 ph water . i had this problem with tigerbloom. after you flush you should notice that the soil dries up a little quicker than youd expect. i think its because the flush unlocks everything and the plant feeds hella fast after that. my ak plants rarely ever have issues either its always a new kind or a clone from a buddy . but yeah it looks like ph issues especially if its just one plant so id flush then when the soil dries out a little id feed it with half the normal dose the first feeding after a flush

mine was a hanna combo ph & ec you can get thoes cheap ph tester drop kits to see if its off or if your hydro shop is cool bring it there to have them test it or test it against a friends you have to keep the probe hydrated and use the calibration kits theres a warenty but i ended up just useing a friends thinking it was just uncalibrated on first grow which was a disaster on my 2nd grow atm and i got the calibration water set it up phd my water faded my clones went and got the cheap test kit saw it was way off brought it into the shop and they said it was faded but since i took 2 years off from smoking/growing after the first run the warenty was up live and learn i guess

I was experiencing this as well and a week ago i flushed my plants thinking its a nute burn but that didnt help. It happens to few of indica strains only into 2~4 week flowering and many others getting same issues as well.

Some say its Mag eff. And cal def and N def. and nute burn. Well i tried flushing so its not a nuute burn. I added some grow big for the N def today so ill let you know what happenes next im gonna try epson salt for mag def.

It doesnt affect my growth of the plants tho and they arent stunted either . so im just testing on 1 plant to figure the problem out.
Is your grow stunted at all?

Actually, it doesn't look like it has affected the rate of growth so far. Buds are growing ad it's still popping new bud sites. But it's killing fan leaves, so i know eventually it will. Keep me posted if you find anything new out, and i will do the same in this thread.

I checked it last night with the 4.01 and 7.01 pH buffer solutions and all came back OK. It was reading consistently, same as the first day I had it.

Yes, I am going to address this issue with the manager at the store. I have a salt water aquarium, so that will be my alibi as to why i buy bulk water. 9.5 pH R/O water is unacceptable.
