My son is going on 23 now, and he's real responsible when it comes to drinking or smoking, *(surprised me), but occasionally he'll have a hit when he comes to visit, but we do drink together, and my grandson's mother (still can't figure out whether to call her 'his girlfriend' or what), but she will smoke while we are drinking.

I would never because of my experiences with the drug life when I was younger. I would never want to be part of someone I love experiencing what I did. Not worth the risk, IMHO.

I have two kids, age 36 and almost 30. I've smoked with both of them but my son lives here so we smoke regularly (and help keep each other in weed). My daughter lives in L.A., gets the best weed but I don't get to see her but once a year or so. So if you have kids old enough to smoke weed, do you do so? OR if you're younger, do you smoke with a parent or parents?

View attachment 2637997 Probably only people as "old" as me will get this.
I used to smoke with my dad pimp...i used to give him ounces so hed have it all the time then he got re married to a woman who is against pot :( so now i dont get to smoke with him anymore. Me neither but I'm not talking about drugs, just weed. I've been smoking with my kids since they were 18 and neither of them have ever tried drugs. I have enough experience in that for all of us and fortunately they trusted my judgement on that.

I suspect she has seen your plants. Kids get into everything.
I suspect she hasn't!! Yes. Kids do get into everything. But when its behind 2 locked doors at all times, it makes it kinda hard for eyes that shouldn't see it, or ask :??: kinda hard to do so..

Its just something about smoking with your Dad that is idk how to put into words really! Bonding. I also use to smoke with my Dad. I would (b4 he found out I was smoking) age 13. I would get into his bag,lol and try like hell to roll a joint, and smoke up! Well, needless to say, 1 day I walked into his grow room, he was a botanist, and had taught me just about everyhting I know about growing, he had a corncob pipe laying right smack dab on his work beanch packed full of some light green nugs!! He sit me down & told me 1st off, I can't stand someone who steals, and 2nd hiding & doing things behind my back & not talking to me I don't like!! Then he asked me if I had been stealing his bud, & if I had been smoking & for how long... at first I tried to tell him a lie.. well, that shit didn't fly!! So, after a ton of tears, I told him yes Dad, I've been taking your tree's & getting high after school! At 1st he got mad. And it was the behind the back & lying he was mad at me over. After we got that outta the way, he then pointed at the corncob pipe & asked me if I wanted to smoke.. we then smoked & I got super stoned off whatever he had in that pipe, lol.. after that we would smoke up before going fishing/hunting, etc'. Needless to say, my Dad became my best friend!!! He was 45 when I lost him. He was also a fire fighter, and had went to a structure fire, he ended up breaking his back doing so! A beam had collasped and landed on him trapping him there until otherd could get him out. After that he was put on a ton of pain killers! He got hooked as people do, and ended up having to tale more then he was prescribed!! He knew he needed help, and I didn't know what to do!! Well, he did get help, "methadone"!!!! Well one night he had took the methadone along with a damn nerve pill his doc gave him & it killed him!!! I wish I could just go back in time & somehow help him! I miss him very much, and love him dearly!! Just wanted to share that, sorry to ramble. ;)

Love you buddy!! See you again 1 day.. :)

i never smoked with my parents but friends of mine alwasy did... i thought it was always wierd. my dad an mom will tell stories about them smoking and shit when younger but i just could never do something like that. such an akward feeling having a parent as a friend type person...

i actually quit smoking because freshman yr in highschool i smoked before baseball tryouts like an idiot. was late going there and everyone was sitting in circle inside. i walked up to the door and was to scared to go inside. i walked back and sat inside car an my dad was asking whats wrong, all i could say wasr i cant go in, i cant go inside... he drove off. this is not something he would do under nromal circumstances. i played baseball 11 months a yr at a training camp and everything... still to this day i wont ask him about day cause i hope he doesnt remember. never felt so embarased and like an idiot in my entire life.... never smoked since.

my daughter doesn`t burn but i wouldn`t have a problem smoking with her if she did. i drank alot with my old man but never smoked with him, he had a joe friday attitude towards it. he might have tried it before he died but i had too much respect for him to try and talk him into it.

Hell Yeah, my boy was a wild kid but now hes matured into a decent responsible guy, 25 years old, girlfriend, kid, job, the lot. I believe it was smoking weed that made him realise his dad wasn't the square old dude he probably had me tagged as a teenager, we've been to Amsterdam together, had a ball. I always brought my boy up to judge people for what they do rather than what they possess and would have been personally disappointed if he had turned into a carreer chasing suit. Only thing we disagree on these days is his f*****g music, what is this rap type '' in da hood '' shit, I just cant get off on it at all man. Different generations brought together by a smoke, its what the stuff does.
i love rap music. its part of the culture of our generation.

alot of younger people have a conection to it for many reasons.

sometimes the subject matter is dirty, gritty, and offencive. but it represents strugle. and i love the htought of poetry to music.

i dont support these wanna be gangbangers that would piss their pants if someone actually stepped up to em. the cowards who glamorize crime, when theyve never done anything in their life.

i connect to 2pacs music. its deep man. some of it is really... its hard to describe, its like it connects to your soul. it depends on where you come from, and who you are.

i grew up poor, in the most crime ridden part of canada. when i hear these guys talking about thier strugles, not only that but meshing music and poetry together.

i will say thos about rap tho. 80% is bullshit. you have to look back to the mid 90s. rap is the music that really deffined the 90s for some. the 90s had no real charachter on their own. it was like the80s all over again with different cars...
To us younger generation, that music is our voice. its how we feel.

sorry to jack your thread pimp. im bad for chatting way to much. to answer the questions, no and no. my daughter is 4, but when she is older, im sure shes going to be just as interested in ganja as i was and am.

and i never smoked with my parrents. my dads a little bitch, who thinks weed is the devil in green clothes (cunt)...

my mom is a pig. she woulda busted me in a instant if she ever found the plants in my closet before i moved out. to this day she.would gladly put me in jail over a dimebag. if she knew how id spent the last 10 years, shed probably shoit me.
I havent spoken to either of em in a decade. loooooosers

Wow Dank, very touching story my friend. I'm so sorry for your loss.

My son worked for me for years and was always on one of the computers we used and shared. He went to lunch and left his browser open but minimized, so I looked at what he had open and it was Rollitup.org. He was actually a member here for several months longer than me. That is when I figured it was best to be straight with him and, like your dad, told him in no uncertain terms never to do stuff behind my back. We talked about it and we did our first few grows together as well as him smoking my ass out, LOL. I'm very much a lightweight compared to him, although when I was young I could outsmoke all my friends. He's old enough now that I can allow him to be my "friend" and not screw up the father / son relationship; in fact it has greatly improved our relationship.

Thanks Pimp. Yeah, you sound a lot like him in ways ;) He would sit and the way he had his grow/work room was his plants off in one 5 x 12 foot section of the basement with the rest open space, then he had he's work bench there where he had a computer set up to do his studying about botany, and confrese with his other smoking buddies, and what have you. How I found out that he smoked wasn't by seeing his plants! He had left his browser open & I had looked at the stuff he was reading the night before, and really didn't know what all it was! He was reading on splicing genetics, and strains of the 70's early 80's!! I then thought well, maybe he just likes to read on it. Until I looked into the ashtray next to the computer & found a roach! I immediatly knew what it was, due to had learned about drugs to "stay" away from in "school"!! And I am the type of person when someone sais "don't do that" haha, I do!! that summer I started toking up with the neighborhood friend, like said I was 13, I believe lol. One day we couldn't score bud anywhere & I had a bright idea!! {Ey!! My dad smokes!! So you guessed it!! That's when the searching 4 his stash & pinching it came into play, lol.. ;)

A lot of good memories Pimp!! Thanks 4 starting this. Brought a tear to my eye, and smile to my heart! 4 real thanks. Your friend, Dank.

I myself am an adult kid. Growing up my dad always forbid me to smoke ganja. Now I got past a certain age he welcomes it and tokes with me. I think ganja would even bring more and more folks of all ages together, if and when it becomes legalized.

I have smoked with my Grandmother and Uncles. Never my parents, they stopped smoking for a decade. My father used to smoke in front of me when I was maybe 4 years old with his brother. He thought I wouldn't remember that until he went off on me for smoking, boy he sure had widen his eyes and shut up after that. My mother's side pretty much knows what I do and have smoked my stuff. My father's side only knows I smoke that's it. I don't trust my step mother one bit. That bitch called the cops on me when I was 10 for stealing a couple of quarters.

Just recently I've started smoking with my father. As with a lot I was always told to stay away from it when I was younger, but now that I'm in my 20s we finally had "the talk" and now we smoke! He even passed me down his bong that he's had since he was 16 (from US bong) and told me where he used to grow his plants back at our old house. I will say it is most deffinetly a bonding experience. Idk about my mother, well see
