check Norml some are recognized by "sister states" I have no idea what this "card" looks like my referral or recommendation was on a card stock 8x11 with the state seal embossed into it along with my ID photo copied on to it with a DR's Signature and their DEA # that was for Cali

Oakland is the first Airport to recognize or make accommodations for travel with Cannabis. I also was able to bring my Chemo with me it was an injectable and needed to be kept on ice and a carry on (no problems) but the real issue is on the other side of the tube (where you are flyin into) Florida? No thanks---better off getting it illegally from Drug dealers who do not recognize any rules or laws then to have safe access? Right---Jeb? or whoever is in charge now. Sourcasm---it has a difference where I vacation---i just changed my plans from Florida to hawaii bradda---so big Island for action instead of the Keys or So. beach. Too bad so--so sad Florida no vacation commission for you!

In short, no. If u get busted and are actually allowed to mention ur card from another state (slim chance) it will help ur case especially in trial but essentially, no. I used to pack a nug into each little matchbox car I had (they had a custom carrying case) and tell them I was going to get them appraised if asked anything. Never had a problem. And those older matchboxes are worth some CASH!

i got this from the Norml site. Montana is the only state that takes recs from other states.

Montana

SUMMARY: Sixty-two percent of voters approved Initiative 148 on November 2, 2004. The law took effect that same day. It removes state-level criminal penalties on the use, possession and cultivation of marijuana by patients who possess written documentation from their physicians authorizing the medical use of marijuana. Patients diagnosed with the following illnesses are afforded legal protection under this act: cachexia or wasting syndrome; severe or chronic pain; severe nausea; seizures, including but not limited to seizures caused by epilepsy; or severe or persistent muscle spasms, including but not limited to spasms caused by multiple sclerosis or Crohn's disease. Patients (or their primary caregivers) may possess no more than six marijuana plants. The law establishes a confidential state-run patient registry that issues identification cards to qualifying patients.

Valid medical marijuana registry cards from other medical marijuana states are recognized in this state, so long as the cardholder is in compliance with the possession limits imposed on cardholders in this state.

AMENDMENTS: No

MEDICAL MARIJUANA STATUTES: Montana Medical Marijuana Act, Mont. Code Ann. §§ 50-46-1 to 50-46-2 (2007).

wow that so crazy, when you get a perscrition for anything else it works in most other states, something should be done about this.i am sure having your card will help you in court if you get busted outta state. and anyone know how that airport thing works, or where i could go to get information about it?

Research this on NORML's website. There is some level of legal precedent for one state recognizing another state's medical marijuana patient's rights. Not saying it would solve your legal woes, but it c ould sway a judge to give you a lenient sentence me thinks.
