why? If the police are using infrared to look at your home they need a warrant. Thats federal mandate. If they have a warrant for IR then your already busted.

they actually do random F.L.I.R. scans in some areas. yes they do need more evidence than that for a warrant but, a F.L.I.R. "hit" can be the BEGINNING of some investigations that they will pursue til there is a bust. Ive heard of them busting people where investigation started with a FLIR scan and even by looking for melted snow on their roof from the heat of the lights above grow rooms in other areas

untrue.. all infared searching was marked unconstitutional by the supreme court and cannot be used unless granted a warant by court.

I know the supreme court over turned it but if you don't think the pigs still use it illegally your kidding yourself. They can claim that a CI had seen your plants our that they could smell an odor coming from your house to cover up their illegal activities. It's called a "Ghost Informant" and there has been many cases that have been brought to trial and thrown out due to NO true CI involved. The majority of ppl are going to take the plea and never go to trial and risk jail time and they know that. Look into it man and you'll see it for yourself,all I have to say is Odessa,Texas! I live in a state where the winter months are very cold and indoor grow rooms stick out like a sore thumb.

P.S. I already found a great location to get the IR film so I'm good. Almost all large grows in Cali use this to protect themselves from the illegal actions of Law Enforcements.

thats what I was saying.... They are SUPPOSED to have a warrant on private property to do FLIR scans. the system is very corrupt in places. Trust me, Ive done over 6 years in jails and prisons(not for growing),while most arrests are legit and legal, I had PLENTY of time to see peoples paper work on cases that were not, a couple of them had to do with grow busts. I worked in the kitchen with a guy that came in on a 18 month sentence for manufacturing/cultivation. he was late 30's, was fairly new to the area for his job position and he grew his bud and took it back home(out of state) himself and sold all of it to one guy, every 3 or 4 months. the paperwork that was signed by the judge for the warrant said that one day C.I. # blah blah blah called in and complained of heavy foot traffic, 2 days later another C.I. called with the same. this guy was clearly a non-social, low-key guy(pretty much a brain with no friends). they then did trash pulls and said they found "baggies", but the guy sold his weight all at once out of state and didnt smoke because of his job. basically they were saying that shit because they knew the guy was growing but had to have a way to get a warrant and also had to cover their ass if by slight chance he was only growing hydro veggies and they kicked the door in.

I know first hand man how corrupt they can be. They raided my father in-laws house who was a terminal cancer patient because they had picked up a FLIR signal and like you said before hand they went threw he's garbage and claimed they found stems and stalks which was B.S. since we always burned everything in a fire pit to pure ash. When they kicked down the door they had 12 swat team members all armed with guns,vest,shields,etc... @ the breach time these guys thought they were busting a seller for sure. Turned out they had just kicked the door down of a man who was dying of lung cancer with 13 plants! They nabbed 17 oz. total and felony poss. in our state was 1 1/2 oz.,needless to say you better believe we hired a top notch lawyer in our state and when he got the report from the police it said they had an informant who had seen the grow room and the plants also stating that the C.I. had been over the night before the raid which we all knew was false. On top of all that you could hear a helicopter fly over the house(directly) at least 3 times a day! Long sory short we went to trial no C.I. showed and the case was dropped. Only prob it cost us $10K to keep him free,he passed this last oct. and is hopefully smoking the dankest weed up above.
