Does Heat Ripens Seeds?

I recently had a bag of some kush that had a fertilized nugget with 60 small seeds inside. I tried to germinate them through my normal method - a moist paper towel on a plate. After 2 weeks only 1 seed germinated. So I put the plate on my cable box where it would be warm. Since then, seeds have been germinating every few days.

Does heat help ripen and germinate seeds?

Warmth definitely helps a seed to germinate. I don't think it plays a role in ripening them though.

I wouldnt say ripen, but warmth does help germinating, helps when rooting clones as well. I would not use the paper towel method imo, its more hassle and potentially damaging than its worth. want to know if your seeds are viable and have them germinate within 2 days? heres what you do, take a cup of water, put that cup somewhere warm and dark. heres a guide thats a bit more thorough
