Does synthetic fertilizers kill benes like great white?

i do believe they'd fare better in organic solutions. aren't they the ones who convert the organic stuff so that the plants would be able to take them? if they're synthetic (no more converting blablabla), the plants would be able to uptake the stuff?

I'll say this. The living soil will take a hard hit from synthetics.
They do not "kill" the living things in the soil out right.....But it ain't doing them any favors!

The use of living bacteria in the soil, along with synthetics has an interesting and effective result!

Now I have not done much background reading on the subject at real "paper" levels or research.
I have found enough research to say that, Yes, adding bio's to SOIL based synthetic grows do show increased plant response!

On some of my last synthetic runs. I added my simple bio AACT tea to them every week...some 2 times a week....ALL of the plants in those runs required that I reduce the amount of nutrient used and/or feedings as they began to show over feeding rather quickly. These were feed my normal synthetic mix to start. In plants where I added another supplement. I had to start at reduced nutrient ratio's by 50% and those got to be too much too!

With the growth of available bio's for use in synthetic growing....That reflects the fact that they do have a positive effect in my book.

Learn to make and use a simple bio AACT Tea....FAR cheaper then any bottled or dry packed store product! WAY more active living bio's too!

Good luck

I have started to use tea brews for the past couple weeks now. Im also using synthetics for every day feedings. I have seen no adverse effects. Plants seem to be responding much better to the feedings / using the nutrients more efficiently. If your able to utilize the beneficials it could end up saving you some nutrients in the long run. For the longest time I've had this gallon of liquid seaweed but didnt really want to use it in my regular feeding because of all the buildup it creates in the reservoirs. Recently Ive been using it along with RootMagic ( a biological root inoculum ), and molasses. Brew for 24-48 hours or until froth is almost overflowing out of the bucket i use. This is my first tea brew recipe so im sure it is not the best. But it seems to be working just fine.

No you wont kill them, but if all you use is synthetic ferts you will slowly starve them and promote a less diverse microherd.

Youd have to use much higher concentrations of ferts to kill the microherd than we use, that why people run organics and synthetics together.

How to:

My simple AACT bio tea
First off - skip the kelp and the fish as I and others have found that they actually REDUCE living bio counts in the simple tea.....Besides that adds NPK and we really don't need that here!

1/2 cup EWC
1/2 cup well composted steer or cow manure - this adds a more fungal tone to the tea - good stuff
1/3 cup bakers molasses or un-sulfered
1TBL organic Alfalfa meal *optional* I some times add as much as 1/4 cup....I use this for specific reasons/times - You don't have too!
Bubble for 36-48 and water with it!

I save the solids and mix those into soils I build
