Pretty sure its root rot from over watering....but just wandering how bad a seedling can get before it is definitely not going to make it. The stem is still firm but as you can see the leaves are basically done...

Looks like mulch or something. That seedling is probably not going to make it planted in wood chips. Next time plant in potting soil and give it a chance. Good luck.

yeah it was made by Patio and I picked it up at Lowe's....i'm growing Lowryder 2 so I know they don't require too many nutes and being outside requires less steps and maintenance, and trying to keep costs low.

If the the little protein leaves are still there then it might make it ... unless your organic soil is the problem... then start over. I'd use dirt from my back yard before that mix.

I agree...it was cheap setup so I figured I'd give a trial run...only planted 2 seeds out of 15 and the one is doing fine so we'll see how things go..not a big deal just was wandering what seedlings are capable of surviving...

Just looked up the soil i'm using, Kellogg's Patio Plus organic potting soil....very popular on the west coast, mainly Cali., alot of growers use it for organic grows....so I don't think the soil is the problem..it just doesn't look like that other expensive bullshit.
