You can't get a felony for what I did in Colorado anymore. That's because what I did was harmless to society; I grew a medicinal plant in the privacy of my own home.

That's NOT a crime! The crime is putting people in jail for it!

By way of supporting evidence for that assertion, my 'criminal' record has in fact transformed itself from a scarlet letter of social disreputability into the battle scar of a freedom fighter.

I've been fighting the good fight since before 1991, that's what it says now.
Well I appreciate you fighting for all of our passion my friend and I feel the same way I will stand by medical cannabas no matter what my older sister with cerebal palsy was having seizures daily and couldn't get out because of pain I took her to several specialists who couldn't get shit done ......medical cannabas stopped her seizures and now she's walking married living in her own apartment I built on my land for her .......so anyone who fights for the cause is a hero IMO thanks again pal ......I now grow for only the severely handicap and cancer patients who can't grow themselves but need good medcan

The manager sounds like a dink for making a big deal over a 4 hr a week job. You should go back to the owner and ask him if he needs a new store manager.
The other day, I heard they were looking for a little help, once a week. I went in and spoke with the owner and was told indeed, they need somebody for about four hours a week. Hardly a career for me, but a nice fit at the moment. Then I talked to the manager, and was told that to work there, I'd have to pee in a cup first!
I want the job, but I don't see not smoking for it, it's not like its a 6 figure salary worth cleaning up for.

When I was in my teens my dad was a commercial contractor. When We'd get some new guy and hire him, he would give him a cup to go pee in. He'd ask can you pass? They'd always say yes. Some would come back out and either have an excuse. Just went, and some would admit it. Hell it was his way of checking people. What they didn't know was around 75 percent of the MJ around was coming from him. But when they admitted or delayed we'd laugh our asses off. But we also found which ones who to not smoke with or around.

If my bosses started drug testing then the workforce would go from 9 employees to 2. And they're well aware of that fact.

If you really want the four hour a week job then just tell them you'll be an exemplary employee but you do like to smoke weed at night while you study the state's labor laws.

Now just how fucked up is THAT?!

Honestly you fucking americans are starting to piss me the fuckoff please.

You really think your govenerent would partially make a previously illegal drug legally acceptable and just l;et people consume it without any consequences?!

Man please ffs have alittle look at history:

Cannabis became legal through the ''medicinal'' side of the plant (in brackets not for sarcasm, too many plants have medicinal benefits and were not discussing those), and in fact most of the people who fought to have prop 215 passed are infact DEAD!!!! Ye mate fucking dead! Pewople have died for your right to have a joint pass it round and comment on ''how fucked up the world is mien'' people who have seriously benefitted from an UNTAXED UNREGULATED DRUG! Why do you thinmk theres such a fuss over it? really man come on? Yes your government hasnt been reaping millions upon millions on tax revenue for 100 years.
Theyre doing that cause their pissed off their opwn people can now have a little back pain or a fucked up finger go to a doctor and get a precription for "medicinal" marijuana.

My advice is get a couple of mates find where that piece of shit of a boss lives lock him is while sleeping, hot box his whole houyse and call his insurtance company on suspicions of drug dealings at the place of work.

Fuck everyone literally

Do you think you know what you are talking about?
What consequences?

My plants are legal and I have way more weed than I need.
Are the consequences that I smoke as much weed as I want and give it away to my friends?

People die, things change, interest rates fluctuate...

I have never done that.
How did they die?

Why do you thinmk theres such a fuss over it? really man come on? Yes your government hasnt been reaping millions upon millions on tax revenue for 100 years.
That was due to rich people creating fear. It is the oldest trick in the book and still used today by yours and our leaders.

What are they doing? I'm not sure you understand the hows and whys of cannabis taxation and how it varies greatly.
Medicinal marijuana is not prescribed. Plants can not be prescribed.
I can got to a store and buy weed with or with out a medical marijuana card.

My advice is get a couple of mates find where that piece of shit of a boss lives lock him is while sleeping, hot box his whole houyse and call his insurtance company on suspicions of drug dealings at the place of work.

Like living in a state wher emedicinal marijuan is legal but still not being able to get a job without proving you dont consume a ''legal'' drug.

I have never done that.
How did they die?
I simply styated that the people who have initially fought for your right to grow a few plants and give it to your friends RECREATIONALLY (under the medicinal blanket) are now dead cause they suffered from seiously hardcore uncurable diseases and found cannabis benifited them a great deal more than legally prescribed medication.
This said even though most users are enjoying the beneficial use of cannabis under the umbrella of medicinal use through recreation, cannabis use being provided to the wider public as a ''medicine'' provides higher quality standards for the product with testing for chemicals, pesticides and solvents being a norm. Out here in europe its bloody cowboy land in countries where cannabis is legally ''sold''.

What are they doing? I'm not sure you understand the hows and whys of cannabis taxation and how it varies greatly.

Lol in my view, you are pretty blindsided and ignorant, though the exact same could and should probably be said about myself from your perspective.

sorry im not gonna try and offend you back with a poncy giff.
My discussion with you is over, id willingly continue if you know... you werent such a prick.

I think employers just don't want drug users to be working for them
And I don't see a problem with that

If I owned a business I wouldn't want someone with meth cocaine and heroin in their system working for me

Big corporations do not want to be tied to people who are apart of something's that's controversial such as Walmart it isn't in their company mandate to want an employee like that and that's their right to say no to someone

Industrial companies don't want drug users because of insurance
Someone working heavy duty equipment involved in an accident in say a steel mill who's positive for drugs is going to cause a lot of issues for that company And while those drugs may have been done previous night who's to say it didn't impact their ability to work a machine properly and now someone is injuries and a company has to pay out

Usually much more to this drug testing and work policies than "you smoke weed you bad hippy you "

It's an insurance thing.
I'm perfectly legal in what I do by my states standards and will not be touched as I stay beneath my legal plant limit and I do not sell. Period!

Fed's won't touch me - I'm a goldfish in a shark tank, but if I happened to get ghosted on the job a simple blood test will bolster their case should they want to go there.

If the op doesn't have any animal protein in his system then he's a fkn carrot.
I have animal protein in my carrot.

oh man I didn't think other folks would be more upset than me about this! @KLITE - wow dude - wow. BTW, I'm not American, I just live here.

The store owner and manager, both women, you chauvinistic assumers - are good peeps and bound by small town politics more so than a hatred for weed. The manager smokes too - I know it seems hypocritical, but the test isn't her choice. I think Sunni hit it on the head - in this area I think they're more concerned about meth than weed. And GreatwhiteNorth too - insurance, fuggin insurance.

My brother in law just got a new job, he is in upper management. He had to take a physical and they told him that the urine sample taken will not be screened for drugs. The HR guy said they did not want to, "stress out new hires."

As has been said, insurance mandates drug testing but they are mostly for many industrial, manufacturing, driving, heavy equipment etc jobs.
This will change when cannabis is decriminalized federally.

Last time I took a drug test was my first day as a prep cook in a restaurant. I show up to work, and the boss tells me we have to go downstairs for a drug test. He said, "first, we're going to test the cook's drugs, then we will test yours!" I didn't know I was supposed to show up holding...

We used to call those "safety meetings."
One time I called a safety meeting and a newer girl followed us.
I thought she knew what was up. She was confused when we all went out the back.
"You have safety meetings outside?"
Every one starts laughing and packing bowls.
I sent her over to another restaurant to get a "grill stretcher" lol.
