Does this shit look safe to smoke?

i have some jack herer that i cut down then put into jars too soon. two of the jars were definitely moldy and the other two im unsure of. I was out of town and made the mistake of thinking "oh its only a few days". Any how here are the two im unsure of, they dont have anything fuzzy on them but they look brown and have an odd smell. thanks in advance.

i'm thinking i'm seeing a lil mold in the second pix... ouch, that really hits below the belt..

i wouldnt smoke it. looks moldy to me

might be some mold in there, it won't kill ya if you're healthy though.

Yeah it definitely sucks, like 4ounces worth gone... im an idiot for thinking it would be fine...grr im going to be kicking my self in the ass for some time to come...

lol, yeah, i'd probably end up smoking it myself, but then again, i'm not sickly nor do i have any breathing problems.. might after i smoked some of that though, lol, just kidding, i'm sure i've put much worse into my body over the years..

can you blast moldy bud and make bho out of it by any chance? i'd probably look into doing something like that with it..

yeah, if it's 4 ounces, he can probably still salvage a bunch of it.

i was once trimming for a buddy and found a spot of mold in his bud and told him. he said "that's OK, i'm not charging extra for it".

all i could do was laugh.

i know the med community here freaks out w/e someone mentions mold, but then i once read someone mention how mold is so prevalent pretty much every where today, and used to example of why do you think closed up bread gets mold on it, and really made me think twice about it..
of course i'm not saying moldy bud is good for you, just saying it can't possibly be the worst thing i've ingested, probably even just today even..

i think back on some of the shit i smoked as a teenager and wonder how i never got sick, even once.

it is quite a different story for immuno-suppressed folks though. no bueno.

It looks fine. Seriously, just pick each larger bud apart and break off the pieces with webbing on it and keep the good looking parts. Be conservative about picking off the moldy parts.

Have you ever heard of a case of someone dying from smoking moldy, or any type of weed?

By the time it's dry, the mold stop spreading, and what doesn't look moldy will still be not moldy. The parts that look fine will likely smell fine too.

Next time your unsure if the bud is dry enough for jars and have to leave, put it in a paper bag!
Paper bags will prevent mold if it's still to wet + it will slow dry if it is still wet.

I agree with the extraction ideas.
4oz of bud should make a nice amount, that will taste better too.

I would dry it more than normal and see if it continues to grow ............

Yeah it's weird, 2oz look brown and have a "more than usual" hay smell, but show no fuzzy spots. The other 2 are more than obviously moldy. I'd be worried about smoking those two. Can I do cold water extraction? I already have the bags.

Ive looked into doing ever clear extraction but I've never actually done it. Would the ever clear extraction sanitize the end product?
