It is standard 120V current, not 12V like a computer fan, but you would need to put a plug on it. If you have an old extension cord, just cut the female end off and join the two wires...voila, plug! If you're gonna grow and do it inexpensively, you gotta get into a little DIY. There's a lot of GREAT information to be had on this forum, complete with pictures. I can show you how to wire up the fan if you need it.

Does that plug into a regular outlet? Wiring a computer fan is beyond my tech skills. When I set up my cab, I hope I can find a good fan that I can just plug in to a power strip...
it's a PC fan. All you do is cut the wire, strip it, cut a 12 volt adapter at the male part, strip it, put the wires together and plug it in. If it doesn't work unplug it, swap the wires and then try again. twist the wires together, wrap the wires in electrical tape and you're done.

No, it's NOT a PC fan. It is an AC fan. I specifically got that one because I didn't want to frig with an adapter...

no offense, but whats the difference between cutting and stripping an extension cord, which, costs more than an adapter, over stripping an adapter? It's the same thing except an extension cord is about $20 and an adapter is about $12, even less if you get it off ebay

For that matter, most folks HAVE extension cords sitting around the house...there's one in the junk drawer now... LOL

i just rigged a PC fan up to my box and it was super easy and cost me 0$ i had the fan and an old plug for the base/charger of a old cordless landline phone. the adapter was only 9v and my fan is 12v but it runs it just fine.

i cut the part off that u plug into the phone base, peeled the wires apart (there are 2) and stripped them. did the same thing with the CPU fan. then got 2 small wire nuts spliced them together and wallah, fan works perfectly, not running at top speed but i run it 24/7 so i fig running at a lower speed is a little better than full speed to reduce the risk of burnout.

Wow...I'd go insane!

This is my light set up:

Built the whole thing out of bare sockets and cheap extension cords...

I appreciate the help, but my big thing is "safety first". I don't want to risk everything on my meager wiring skills in pursuit of bud.

is that the dist them lights are always from your plants? if so move em closer to get more of thet light to your girls CFL work but the good light diminishes fast.
Nah, I moved 'em up to work under them and didn't put them back down before snapping a pic. They are actually weighted on one end so they hang on a tilt to be up for the taller plants and down for the lower ones...
