fighting pitbulls, many ppl think its horible but many ppl think weed is to,
I think there is a fine line,
hence if a dog is scared and dosent want to fight,u think oma make it?hell no thats$$$$
But on the other hand there is those monsters that just love it want it,just like a boxer, some no what's going on and they work hard and long, hell when they win I give them bitches in heat, fresh meat, let them inside ,like a champion boxer, some dumb asses fight them to the death,no there is a set of rules "cagen rules" if the dogs done then the fights over,
then u take ur dog treat it to health and try again,
20 years ago it was a gentlemens sport, men of class, now its evil awfull,
Now in some states u can fight chickens, hell that's worse theyy fight till the die,and they cage them,
I love my dogs more then anything

Critize me,let's hear it,

I dont do it (im allergic to dogs hahahaha).
I really dont got a problem with it though. If you live in Philly I know you been to the ones in hunting park.I probably seen you there. They cracked down allot though in the past year. They used to bring the dogs right in the open park with the ring and everything and warm them up by throwing a small poodle or cat in there with them.I think they cracked down because Mike Vick coming to philly.

Get ready for this thread to get ugly quick I think theres allot of peta members on RIU lol

My uncles raised and fought pits. They had rules and regulations. All the dogs were great with people, very obedient. They wouldn't tolerate another dog around them, would go apeshit over any other dog. Not snapping or barking but pulling on the lead, whats called "scratching" in the dog world.

The dogs that are called "fighting dogs" on the news aint fighting dogs. Real fighting dogs aren't human aggressive at all. To all the people who think they know something, let me explain a few things...

My uncles fought "cajun rules" so the fighting pit was 14ftx14ft with two white lines 12 feet apart, walls about 2 feet high. Each dog has a handler that stays in the pit to encourage the dog as well as to separate them. If you have a dog that is human aggressive, they are just as likely to attack the handler as the dog and as should be obvious, is NOT a desirable trait.

As for the sport...it doesn't really exist anymore. The kennels are gone or moved so far underground as to be non existent. Back in the day they had magazines dedicated to the sport, ads for kennels and training gear, treadmills, all kinds of stuff.

My uncles dogs god better food, shelter and medical care than my uncles had themselves. The dogs werent made to fight or abused..the dogs that didn't show this dog aggressive behavior were given to other people for pets, not killed.

I have many a happy memories with "dangerous" fighting dogs.

But really, the sport is dead as dead can be...my uncle got out of it completely in 2007 because of the lack of interest.

oh, and before I the flames get going, for the record, PETA stands for Please Eat The Animals...

Like the devils dick, let the red flames rise....

If there was no dog fighting there wouldn't be as many pitbulls, and I hate pitbulls. So I say no to dog fighting.

I take my dog for long runs, car rides, take on hikes, to the beach, play catch with a frisbee golf disc (I can throw well over 100 yards and she can catch on the fly), to the dog park and other friends houses to play with other dogs. She is happy and healthy. The last thing I would ever want for her is to be in a fight. I doubt you love your dog more than I do.

If you love your pitbull, then you should have it fight another ptbull and hopefully one of them will get killed and make the world a better place

Who said I have a pitbull?

I will say that there are lots of good pitbulls out there. Having dogs kill each other will not make the world a better place. Dogs with great owners will.

Dogs dont fight to the death in real dog fights...why spend $1000 (back in the day, thats like $5000 now) on a dog, spend the time needed to get him into fighting shape, only to kill him...:dunce:

This is the kind of uneducated propaganda that the media has filled your mind with...Don't believe everything you hear on 60 minutes.

I think training dogs to fight is cruel and disgusting. I'm a big animal lover and I hate hearing those sad stories of dog fighting rings and the inhumane things that people do to these poor dogs just for money. It makes me sick. That's my opinion.

The dogs ARE NOT RAINED TO FIGHT animal on animal aggression is a NATURAL thing. Dogs, both male and female fight to assert dominance as well as fight for the right to breed....

I wont even go into the fact that if a dog fails to cross the line, he loses...fails to cross the line of his own accord...thats the same as a boxer NOT COMING out of his corner.

I will never understand why people base opinions on incomplete, and, like in this case, completely false information.

I guess if it wasn't said by PETA than its all a big lie... :dunce:

You're lying to yourself. You are a fool to compare organized dog fighting to a pack establishing the "natural" pecking order. It is not even close to being the same thing.

I'm aware that some dogs are "naturally" aggressive. But I'm referring to the cruel bastards that dont allow these dogs to live a normal life in a loving environment. The ones that give their dogs steroids and have them chained up in filthy environments and beat and antagonize them to enhance their aggressiveness. The ones that kill the dogs that aren't "fit" to fight.. The greedy people that do all this for money. Wouldn't you call this "training them to fight?"
This is what makes me sick. Call it what you want but it's cruel and inhumane..

Why the fuck does it matter if fighting is natural to a dog? It still doesn't hurt any less when they get injured and doesn't mean we should make a sport of it and do things to encourage them to fight.

Only an ignorant, heartless fool that has no regard for animals will try to make these bullshit rationalizations for this kind of cruelty.

It's not PETA that makes dog fighting out to be something disgusting but reality. Normal people don't like cruelty to animals. They don't like to see animals hurt and injured for no other reason then the perverse pleasure of sociopaths and of course gambling. You like blood sports, go watch an underground boxing or fight. People can make a decision whether to participate, unlike your dogs.

How many dog fights have you been to?

For that fact, how many fighting dogs have you even been exposed to?

My guess is zero...that means you are talking out of your ass. My uncles bred and fought pitbulls, game dogs for 30+ years and never once did they have to train a dog to attack another dog... the behavior isn't learned is instinct.

I can quote the rules cause I been there, I can talk dogs because I have been there...And guess what, experience trumps theory, all day, every day.
