Yeah Coco with nutes is bomb. If I ever do hydro I will do ebb and flow with 1L pots in coco with a fast finisher.

But NOTHING beats the ease of growing organically. It does make my old lady bitch about the smell of shite now and again, but nothing is easier than just add water lol.

All that said, Pro Mix BX will be the base for my next soil mix because I want to bOn it.

I tried ordering from BB once and there were issues using my CC for some reason. I've always liked the looks of the Smelly or Sour Cherry, can't remember which, and of course Blue Pitt and DOG.

that sucks you should give it another try! Ive wanted to make super soil for awhile too but i dont have the room for the smell haha




loves me my promix. just been bouncin around nutes. probably gonna settle with a simple botanicare set up with bcuzz coco once i finish this brick of promix.

Grown a little since they were transplanted.

This is my favorite DOG so far. Auto topped itself and is super dense and looks to be a good yielder and hopefully potent as can be!

This one is a sad bitch. been strugglin the most since day one. Probably wont make it to flower.

It seems theyre likin the nutes and are gonna start boomin again soon with the new root space.

I super cropped the tops of the taller ones to try it out and see if i can get some more side branches up to the level of the tops.

Lol, yeah there is a curve changing mediums, that's for sure. I find that organic makes perpetual the easiest for me. I just add water to everything, same water, all the time if I want. Then I can choose what each plant gets depending on cycle with some quick and easy top dressings.

I have a feeling that when I try hydro, my initial feeling will be that m plants definitely belong in dirt lol. Good day peeps.

Yeah i cant wait to switch to coco. Im gonna be sleeping next to my plants when i do switch because ill be unsure of watering and nutes but i want the faster veg and bigger flower!!!

I would suggest trying gto run a clone or two in coco while you continue what you're doing. Its a good way to take some notes and start dialing it in. Might help to avoid issues like what you're experiencing. Just a thought, that's what I would do anyways.

Hell yeah that was my plan! Hopin to grab a bail of coco in a few weeks and ill put one of the new DOGs in it.

Ill probably put this cheese seed i started from dinafem in there. I lliked the auto flower in my minicab so much i decided id start the non auto and run it a little.

Coco Brick - 5" x 3" x 9". Hack a chunk, soak and get started! I bought a bag of Roots Organics Coco with organic nutrients about 3 years ago and its still taking up space in my room.... Along with the 2 cubic feet of rockwool floc and the grow cubes lol.

I was always interested in the coco chunks too. I think they may relatively easy to reuse, although for a flood system it might require more frequency.

Looking good man, ive been thinking of getting a LED set up but hav'nt really looked around to check result's. This will be a great grow to watch through, it will give me the answers on LED's and show my fav. plant. Here's a couple shot's of the DOG i had from the original stock, had her for near 3 yrs, cant wait to pop a few of her selfie's to see her again.


This is one from the selfed seed's, i got a bunch out the first plant, first clone only had a few pip's and further clone's had the odd one or two seed's which were fine and great for growing with a more solid structure than a cutting :-)


And a dried Nug.

DAMN that DOG looks nice!

Im lovin these LEDs so far. Everything slowing my plants down has been caused by me haha so theyre a little behind where they should be.

Very little heat plus you can get them pretty close if you choose one without lenses. Either way youre good to grow with one.

Ive been wanting to try LEDs for a while too and finally had the chance. I cant wait to see these things flower potential.

I think im the only one in the DOG grow off thats using LEDs haha

Its a good thing the DOGs i have are staying short because im runnin LEDs but its a little too short for my liking.

Hows the stretch in flower on the S1s?? ive heard 2x is the average.


As for the coco bricks Schwag, i dont want to fuck with the rinsing and soaking process so im just gonna grab some Bcuzz or one similar thats loose and has been pre washed/ cal/mag replenished. At least for the first few times. Maybe once im comfortable with the growing procedure ill delve into the cost effective way.

2x is around right, with the short stout veg. its surprising the stretch but welcome ;-), Only seed plants had the BIG colas, the stretch on the clones with interchanging nodes was all walnut size nugg's ( rock solid, and full of frosty goodness )
I think i had a more H.B pheno, it had both lemon/lime candy, through strong fuel taste/smell. I'm sure you'll get what you want from these man, im subbed for the show!

Some of the guys on Dons thread said theyd never grown the DOG under leds so theyd like to see how it does.

cant wait to flip to 12/12 and get these things goin!!! I loves me some headband so im glad to hear everyones likin the headband dom phenos. Ras was talkin about his purple headband pheno that yielded crazy good and it looked killer.


Im gonna make the switch to coco once i get these guys dialed in and hopefully never look back. Probably gonna use botanicare since ive used them before and theyre a good quality and for a pretty good price. I just want faster growth and a slightly larger yield and i already use promix so watering shouldnt be a whole lot different except nutes almost everytime.

Any problems you had when you first converted? I have a ph meter and gonna grab a ppm meter so ill have that stuff on point.

So here they are the 5 DOGs

The one on the far front left probably isnt going to make it. These things looked so beautiful before i fucked shit up haha.

It seems like they want nothing but nutes. Gave them one watering in between nutes and they flipped with N and P def so i bumped them back up.

(I take pictures right before watering usually so thats why theyre droopy usually)

I completely forgot i super cropped them so i was confused when i saw the top leaves/branches bent and not just drooping from lack of water.

Takings clones in a few days then makin sure they root most of the way before i flip these bad girls to flower under 610w of LEDs!!!

Probably do a video update next time since ill have clones and a different tent to show you guys and what not.

I never had any feeding prob's with the coco and canna nute's. I was all worked up for the change from soil with p.h/.e.c and all the measures untill a wise gin drinker said to do 4ml A+B all through flowering and just half the amount for veg. I done alot of different strain's and no sweat.

p.s your right Ras's Purp DOG is something!

catch you about, im just getting my hands dirty again after what feel's like forever!

Thanks for the confidence! i wasnt too worried about ppm/ec more just ph fluctuations because i work with a friend and go there once every 3 or 4 sometimes 5 days.


So my concern is that does the ph of the solution change over that time? Ive heard that if i use the ph up/down im supposed to use it sooner than later. So would my friend be good with the nutes lasting up to 6 days without changing enough to lock them out?? With promix i have a little buffer but cocos pretty neutral.

Might just have to make a bigger rez and teach him how to ph. He knows the basics and what to look for just doesnt trust himself to ph and doesnt want to risk anything haha. Hes a good learner so it shouldnt be too hard to get him more comfortable to it especially for the increase in vigor/yield.


gonna check on em tomorrow and if i can get my video editor installed ill throw up a video.

No it was an auto cheese or cheese automatic from Dinafem. I tried a blue widow freebie but fucked up the seedling so it died.

Ive heard really good things about it though!
