done germinating now what?

Hi all,

I tried two different forms of germination and was successful with both. I got 3 sprouts from soaking in a glass of water. I also got 3 sprouts from jiffy pellets. ..
The question is what do I do with them from there? I'll be potting them all within the next day and am curious if my 900w led is going to be to much for sprouts or will they be ok? What do I do at this stage? A mentor suggested I use cfls till all seedlings have leaves then switch to the led. I don't have any readily available cfl fixtures so am wondering if there's alternative? Or what does everyone else suggest?:/

ive seen guys start seeds with 1000w MH bulbs.

you CAN germinate directly in neoprene inserts in a diy cloner with no medium. using t5's 18/6 pump 30sec on/5min off

Just use your led if you don't have anything else. Just don't put it to close

You can definitely use your metal halide light, but for a seedling you'll be risking it. Just be sure to get the metal halide light as high as possible. Little babies don't need much light to grow they just need to know where to grow to.


PS it's not a good idea to soak your seeds in water. You can literally drowned them . The best way is to put your seeds in a wet paper towel and place it in a plastic bag. Add a little bit of air in it, not too much and put it in a dark warm place.
