dont want to lose my strain

hey guys im searching around these forums to for sum info on polanation,i got sum expensive seeds and want to try breed up sum more so i dont lose my strain,problem is im hoping to get a male out of five plants,then i have to get the male ready so i can to pollanate without,crossing with them all and also knowing wen to cross him with the female is the other question,any good links to sum video or info anyone knows about? thanks ....that way if anything ever happins i can always go back to seeds and start agan...

id like to know how to make seeds to, another way would be to switch your lighting from 12/12 to 5.5(dark)1(light)5.5(dark)12(light). that way the female plant becomes a hermie and self pollinates wich should give out all female seeds according to the growfaq. Also u can just clone your female?

The seeds you have are probably F1 hybrids.

If you breed them, you will end up with F2 hybrids. You will find these are significantly less vigorous and less uniform than the F1s.

Yep, or they maybe an IBL. F2s would show much more variation and you'd have to be able to choose the traits you're looking to obtain. It'd be a crap shoot to say the least. Recessive genes will begin to show.

You may consider out Xing it to something else with no similarities.

correct.... clone them........... this way you will always have the good genetics that you desire from ur plants

hoping that one of them will be male? i wish i had that kind of luck. out of 5 plants i usually hope one of them will be female...

cheers for your replies,yer i can clone them no wories at all,but say sumfin hapins like having to move town ect,wich has happend before a few times,i lose my strain i paid 300 bucks for 10 seeds,and hav to risk on getting them agan,i just thought there would be a good way to get a handful of my own seeds,wich i could store if such problems arise,i wasnt shour like one of you guys said they may lose the mothers traits wich is a bummer,but still willing to take that risk for now.the idea of getting a hermie is tricky as i have all plants in the same room,was hoping if one turned male maybe i could let him sit till close to opening its sacks ,then put him under cfl or sumfin.till his ready? and pollinate with like maybe 1 cola of a female wen shes ready? then maybe store sum male pollon and destroy him,just dont know the timing,would spew if i got all females pollinated thats all
