:sleep:I kno I only have a few post and no one wants to listen to me yet but< cut those dead leaves off if you havent already since that last posted picture and any dead parts of the leaves that were burned, but keep any green portions of the leave and be sparing with the clippers! she needs those green leaves! the brown or yellow ones are a waste of energy now.
Just a thought. Do as you pleasee!

Thanks Johney. Hadn't thought of that.

It doesn't matter that you're new. Everyone has something to contribute, experience or not. And you have to sort thru the BS no matter who it is.

i had a brilliant moment of "a-ha!" you mentioned there was baking soda in the water? THAT is your culprit, sure the yeast and sugar probably had an effect, BUT! the baking soda is the main issue. i haven't checked this thread in awhile, but it just suddenly clicked.

baking soda is VERY alkaline, my guess is using that water ramped up the soil's pH to a ridiculously high level. flushing a few times with pH stabilized water and i mean heavily flushing so that you create a good bit of runoff should/could balance things out. you just created the ultimate nutrient lockout basically, with that highly alkaline baking soda.

again, haven't checked this thread in awhile, sorry if thats already been touched on. i just remember that vinegar is poor mans pH down and baking soda is the pH up equivalent.

Not sure how much the baking soda is to blame. First, it was only 1 tablespoon diluted into 4 cups water. Think about a 2 liter soda bottle about 2/3 full. All the solids were on the bottom, and I only poured off the top 1/3 or less. I add a little molasses and fish emulsion/kelp fertilizer once a week. I think the sugar on top of the molasses and other stuff was just too much.

I'm much happier with things today than I was a week ago. The top of the plant still looks kind of crispy, but I have new white hairs on the lower buds. It would seem that the mother will recover somewhat. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

I also cut 3 of the healthier lower branch for clones. They will be re-vegged for "monster-clones."

Meanwhile, the original clones look spectacular. The buds now have a delicious white frosting on top. Yumm! Scheduled to be done in 4 weeks.

I'll post some pics soon.

The First one in the sick mother. To the left you can see a healthy bud from a lower branch, also on the mother.

The other pic is one of the clones, part of a sea of green. More like a "pond of green."

My mistake, will certainly reduce my yield by about 25%. Not worried. My cup is 3/4 full. I should get 2.5 oz of the best shit I ever had.
