Stay away from these lights they are just rebranded Chinese lights for a premium price tag. There are much better opinions in the LED world like Area 51 or apache tech or ONYX.

That's ridiculous. All brands use Chinese parts for hardware components. Besides the fact G8 uses no extra lensing (no loss due to absorption), they have proven to be one of the most affordable, reputable American distrubutors to hit the market. Although they do not share the same overpriced market as other hyped brands, there's more than enough visual evidence displaying dorm grow lit journals holding their own against the inflated brands. I've recently experienced their power personally as well.

Don't knock a brand with so much backing it if you've never tried or researched then yourself. B/c you clearly have not.

Straight from the dormgrow website , this is why I wouldn't waste over 1000$ on these junk lights(Chinese knock offs), they are the lowest quality LEDs money can buy but are priced at the same as premium LEDs. I am not saying these wont grow plants but I am saying there is MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better options out there.

I really can't speak to that, b/c I never deal directly with a website and I don't pay retail. The guys were extremely helpful, so customer service is A+. They knew what they are taking about and clearly researched their design. But I paid just under $450 for two bloom spectrum G8 240 models they're working amazing too. For me, this pricing beats the shit outta the retail that is put out there, so I apologize for not looking at those prices prior to responding. They advertise a ton of discount codes though, and I'm sure it makes the retail much more manageable.

For the panels I've purchased, I couldn't be happier. I originally made a deal with another company, but after that person totally fd me, I didn't trust him to honor anything and will not do business with them ever. But I am happy overall bc Dorm Grow was happy to help me out and work a deal. And I plan to show what can be done with them to show others who aren't sure. That's one thing I hated about this market... the nonsense when buying. That's why I was saying, we really need to start assessing these panels as the quality they are, and not just what ppl hear. If someone does not own one, they really should mention that they have no basis for responding. I would never recommend an item that I've never tested. Our community should help not only the buyers, but the sellers who put out honest products, so the process can be driven down rather than being displaced in this confusing market. If money were funneled to a handful of manufacturers, the cheap knock offs would eventually go outta business bc the manufacturers that are successful can lower prices and create a more steady market. But if we confuse buyers, they buy crap bc everything sounds the same and we have this mess.

That is why I may mention my story of being in a potential sponsorship deal, but I will not damage their rep, as they still produce decent quality items. It does not get me anywhere to hurt him. I will simply refer and take my own business elsewhere. I'd just prefer a more affordable, and honest market. Its frustrating having to search hours of journals to figure out that most higher end LED brands have zero differences between them. They all do good, no better than the other. It's normally in the hands of the gardener and their talent. Some gimmicks are simply better for different situations.
