Double Dip Recession Coming?

Multiple factors could trigger it. Several prominent economists are already on record saying it is now inevitable, just a matter of how soon. Middle east flare-up, Euro, Greece, and now Spain - any one of them could set it in motion. Even if it just puts the brakes on the faint improvements of the past couple months (which it appears to have done based on this morning's numbers), it would have a devastating effect politically. It would take Obama out like a tsunami. That would be almost poetic since it was largely a freak (or manufactured) economic event that swept Obama into office to begin with.

Economic growth was just adjusted down for the first quarter to 1.9%.

The jobs numbers are revised downwards every month like clockwork.

It doesnt really matter all the bullshit lies the politicians are telling us. You either have a job or you dont and if you own a business likely it is not doing as well as you want it to.

71% of small business owners think we never left the last recession.

I agree we never left it but we are going to hear a constant drumbeat from the media between now and the election about how the economy is approving and everything Obama did (?) worked blah blah blah. It doesn't help them though, that the new unemployment rate is up a tad from 8.1 to 8.2. Of course if it were measured correctly, it would be about 14%

The thing is that all the numbers are bullshit anyway.

If the media tells you that the jobs numbers are improving but YOU dont have a job, does it really matter?

When the independent voters get up on election day they are going to ask themselves, am I and my friends/family better after the last 4 years? And depending on the answer they will likely not go to vote for Obama or go vote for Romney.

You cannot lie about the unemployment numbers to an unemployed person.

I agree but answering that question is often hard for people afrter they have subjected to two high pressure media campaigns. Team Obama isn't going to just sit back and take it. They will have a message, no matter how much of a lie it is. And that message will ask voters to look to the future. If things seem bad now it's all Bush's fault. But prosperity is just around the corner, and Obama needs your help to get there.

I don't think it will sell either.

The funny thing is that Obama's team is out there lying their asses off. And even the liberal media isnt eating it up like last campaign. He has a record. People can look at statistics. And the liberal media is more than happy to distort the truth or color it but they are not going to flat out lie for him.

With the onslaught of our armed forces coming home over the next 3 months, un-employment is about to make another jump. Those soldiers like both of my sons won't have a job to come home too.

They don't exist anymore.
Those, who's jobs havn't gone bankrupt, will be returning to their gauranteed jobs, and will be displaceing those who filled in while they where over seas. This is a huge problem! many of those people found jobs after their unemployment ran out. And don't have any of that to draw from anymore. What are people going to do? We must stop believing everthing the goverment force feeds the press, to shove down our throats! peace.

ROMNEY IS ABOUT TO TALK ABOUT THE MARKET LOL. ARE YOU GUYS READY TO HEAR SOME BULLSHIT.

Romney: "Thanks for having me im glad you brought up the market, but first let me tell you the story about how I am a business man how I saved the Olympics by scraping a bunch of vendors."

Obama; " well I was handed a faulty economy it would have been worse if I wasn't elected"

Couldn't resist the humor, and why do you all want jobs anyways when the Federal Reserve system has systematically insured that you, your children, and your grandchildren will never get ahead.

You want change?, Presidents come and go and do very little in the process...start with auditing the Federal Reserve, then start challenging mortgage foreclosures. Yes, mortgages...most are illegal b/c contracts cannot created without tangible consideration...as in the $$ the banks say is there but really isn't.

True about the returning service people. But thousands are about the be kicked of unemployment benefits so they will no longer be counted as unemployed. Yay!

You should tell anyone you know who is unemployed but not receiving benefits, to go to their job service office (the unemployment office) and tell them they want to be registered for work. That will get them zero, but it will count them as in the labor force rate and still unemployed.

What you all think of a great mortgage shut down? if the majority of Americans (including the police and armed forces) simply refused to keep paying their mortgages simultaniously...I think the best way to kill a parasite is to starve em
