Double Rooting A Cutting/Clone?

I heard that the more roots you have the
better the plant would fair(bigger yeilds).

So with that in mind i was thinking that
most if not all people plant/root a clone
from the place it was cut (the bottom).

What if you take a clone about 7+inches
long cut off all the top leaves and shoots
leaving only the middle leaves and
shoots than planting/rooting both the
top and bottom of the cutting/clone by
bending the stem into the
soil/medium making a n shape stem
see pics below.

my roots are just fine. that would be interesting to see the out come

imma try it when i get a long enough clone/cutting

Thanks Stick, when it comes to growing
my brain is allways at 100%(cant say
the same bout anything else). Just
trynna bring things to the forum that is
in a positive nature

You may want to put rooting gel or
powder on both top and bottom ends of
stem to help the double rooting
clone/cutting.

Heres a different example with two seprate mediums:

Im dam near 90-99% sure that this can work.
problem is if it does nutrients will be going in
and out the stem both ways,lol.

Seems like an interesting idea.

But I thought I remember how plants send food upwards, and if there's roots on both sides would it confuse it?

Would it be able to not grow out of it's main stalk anymore and just focus on the side brances?

try it bro "whats the worst that can happen" keep us posted. it makes sense and thats kinda scary...would have thought some one would have thought someone would have tried it before.

i will but all of my long shoots are in mid flower at the moment
i wanna do this with a pure vegging plant

any one willing to try with a good cutting?

i have about 20 large cutting and i think i could try this would i have 2 split the bottom of the cutting al the way up the center? any one have any advice on what i should do before roots. they all look healthy

I have been debating on trying this for a while, and now that I see other people don't think its crazy, I'll give it a go.

Ok I did something
I neglected to take pics of the process but I guess its kind of obvious.
first 2 pics are the cutting in a 5 inch pot and the last is the cutting surrounded by normies. I took it from a hempstar in an aerogarden because it was way more stretched than any of my vegging plants. Hope this works out.
