double serrated leaves, strain?

So I had 25 mexican bagseed babies. 4 turned out to be indica hybrids.

Now of those 4 two of them have double serrated edges. Is this strain related? I read it comes from skunk or cheese. I went to take a look back and 2 of my full sativas are doing this.

So now I'm thinking is this nutrien related, possibly too much nitrogen, as 2 seperate plants have the eagles claw

So is this nitrogen or strain. I suppose the sativa and indica could have been both pollinated from some plant or what have you

And last but not least, is this desirable. I'm somewhat new to growing and have heard but never seen this

First off, what are "double serrated leaves?"

And how do you know they are indica hybrids? Skunk and cheese have "double serrated edges"? Mexican indica?

Nitrogen? Wha? Where did nitrogen come into all this?

What are you even asking again?

Lol double serrated leaves are leaves that look like a saw blade like they have 2 spikes vs 1 all over the leaves.
Indicas leaves overlap and are significantly wider than sativas. And yes many cartels use real genetics to improve thieir "shwag" "dirt weed" "brick" or what have you

And finally.. Nitrogen causes claw like leaves and I figured since some of the more sensitive are showing this then the double serration could be related.. Ie a predisposition for it when stressed.

And they just barely started to bubble/wrinkle at the base so I think it is in fact nitrogen overdose..... I though ya'll were gonna teach me some things haha

Never heard of Stress creating Double Serrated leaves ^ Nonsense there ..

Its been said that Double Serrated leaf pattern originated within the Himalayan Mountains . Many well known strains share this trait .. Its actually common and generally an indicator of potent marijuana .. Many of the clone only girls I keep have Double Serrated leaves and I tend to favor this trait .. With the Mexican Seed you can find alot of diversity , sometimes good and often times not ..

Clawing , Excess Nitrogen as mentioned or just over watering and it could be a combination of the two .. Photos help .....Peace

Not tryin to hate myob.. Sure hope I didn't double post this, I always hit the back button and it takes me back to typing,so I don't know if I sent it or not lol

Oi you were typing at the same time.
What strain do you grow that has this?
Lol I have Cali-O and Kak-O they are related .. A Rare cut of Blueberry and some other cuts of PlushBerry crosses and I have found this in DNA Land Race Afghani too .. I have a few other too with this trait but the Dabs have taken my memory for the moment

i think it's just genetic.. like has been said, skunk and exo cheese both have the double serated leaves, but they're both related as well..

i wouldn't think anything like nitrogen od would cause this and more so comes from genetics, either they're going to do this or not, and you can't cause a single serated plant to go double on you no matter what you try..

Can you post a pic of double serrated leaves? I've always believed indica's had shorter, broad leaves and sativas had longer and thinner leaves. Both display serrated edges on their leaves. I guess Im missing where the "double" part comes in...

Here is a pic off I grabbed off Google images.

I guess the indicas serrations are more pronounced. Not getting the double part though.

Anyway, I understand nitrogen deficiency but I couldn't understand how it would be thought to cause mutation in the leaf structure.

You probably have a indica/sativa hybrid and different phenotypes are displaying different traits. If the leaves are green and healthy, let them grow. People tend to be way to quick to shout "more nutrients" or "pH" around here. Most times, it is just normal plant development.

How old are they?
