Dr. greenthumb seed review!

Morning All,

OK, I am finally going to jump into the Dr. Greenthumb genetics.

I love growing from seed. I do cuts and moms too, but every run I do a few from seed. I have a freezer full of 1993 Sensi seeds, NL5*Haze, Shiva Skunk and Skunk 1 crossed to each other.

My first intro into "Kushes" was a SnowDawg cut. Loved it. My next was a purple phenom of Rare Dankness Docs OG, both top 5 for me. I lost both of them when I shut down my legal med grow when I thought Harper was going to send his Storm Troopers after us Med patients. Would like to replace in my garden.

So my question finally is which Doc strains would you recommend ? I would like a strain that has that thick pungent hello officer skunk smell, greasy fuel burnt rubber taste. I am leaning towards his Chem ?

Chem has some of what youre talking about but the ECSD is pure fuel,burnt rubber, skunk. Chemdawg has more of a strong pinesol taste and smell.
Both are awesome!

Too funny I am a huge Star Wars fan. My other on line handle is lord vader.
Great grow, fantastic smoke report. Whenever I read or hear SKUNK, my mouth waters.
For years I have soaked my seeds in a shot glass of water and never had a problem with germ rates. The whole paper towel thing scares me.

I understand, but follow Doc's germinating instructions to the letter and if you have problems it will be that much easier to get them replaced.

chemd is a great plant also

you have some very good stuff of your own hz x nl5 is a benchmark when you get the right one

oh zone may give you what you want too..

drgreenthumb has his haters that for sure.........maybe thats why I try him out. Will start Iranian chemdawg and Iranian Diesel in hydro (both at the same time...........works according to Doc) PH5,7

BTW: when I asked Doc for his personal top 3 favorites his answer was: Bubba Kush, Chemdawg, Turkish Delight........will try them all later on

I guess that goldmine would be the very same as the iranian auto but takes longer time which should give more weight.........or am I asuming wrong here?

Just an FYI I am just flowering out some Oh Zone and other than some major setbacks due to me they are, so far, one of the better plants I've grown. They are consistent and all seem pretty alike pheno wise.

Thought I would give my opinion of the Doc and seeds. Used him for 8 years. I have used Attitude and countless others. Sensi, Nirvana, Barney Farms, etc. Still have a few mothers from Barneys but that is it. Spent lots of money on seeds over the years. Every breeder I have tried has some hermies on some of the plants. Just need to find a stable Mother. Weed the bad ones out. Some strains worst for her mies then others.

Doc is the best I have found. Always get my seeds. Sometimes takes a while. Is he perfect? Hell no. He definitleIy is grumpy. He lets you know he can care less if you order or not. He believes his seeds are the best and could care less about sweet talk. I usually order 4 to 6 packs of seeds a year. In 8 years I have had too bad packs for germination. One time with Og Iranian long time ago. And this year I had problems with Iranian Chemdawg this year. 4 out of 11. Both times doc says my fault which is bull shit. Did 2 other packs at same time. Same conditions and 11 for 11. He is grumpy. I sent bad seeds back. I should be getting new ones soon.

My experience with doc strains.

Iranian OG very good. Great outdoors. Different phenos but all good. Love this plant. Have 5 really nice plants. Still trying to figure out which one to make Mother. Like them all. Lol

Iranian Chem Dawg. Very tasty

Iranian Bubba. Will know in a few weeks. Looking good

Iranian Chemo. Maybe bad luck. But it was crap. Nothing good from 10 seeds.

Iranian G13. Good yield. Stoney. Great outdoor yield but can mold. Not much taste or scent. Smells good green but smell goes away when cured.

Iranian Diesel. Was ok. Good yield but I never found a mother worth keeping. Was disappointed after such good luck with Og and Chemdawg Iranian.

Iranian Cinderella. Just tried this one last year. Very impressed. Was surprised how good it grows. Gets done very early outdoors. Superb sweet taste. Very easy to trim for Iranian cross. You will notice most Iranian crosses are nightmare to trim.

Iranian Auto. Ok weed. Very easy to grow. It gets you stoned and tastes decent. It is nightmare to trim. Very leafy. Wish it looked better but it works well. Grows great outdoor.

Sour 13. Good yield but was not impressed with stone. A couple were ok.

Chem Dawg. It was good. Took long time to finish.

Matanuska. First time had an awesome plant. One of my favorites of all time. But lost the mother. Reordered. 2nd time around too many hermits. Weed was good but I can't deal with hermies. Maybe try again some time. Really want a good Mother.

Bubba × Og. Love this plant. Great taste and potency. Only problem is hermits. Got a decent Mother. But my best tasting and yielding one was drag queen. Hermies everywhere. Of course doc and all seed breeders say their shit doesn't hermit. Always say it is your fault. Been growing for 10 plus years. I know what I am doing. Anyways real potential if you can find stable mother.

Girl Scout Cookies. Very nice. Great for appetite. Have a nice Mother. Yield could be better. All plants were tasty and frosty.

Turkish Delight. Was very disappointed but I had a bad grow. My room for too hot. Plants grew very fluffy. Tasted good but that was it. Will try again some time. Yes doc I can admit when I fuck up.

Blue Dream. 10 out of 11 germinated. 3 pheno types. One type of pheno sucked. Unfortunately 6 of them were this pheno. Very fluffy and no stone. Other pheno was hazy. Decent. The last pheno was awesome. Rock hard buds. Great blueberry and haze mix smell. Very stoney. Unique taste. Everyone loved it.

Chemo x Bubba. Looking good. Will know in a few weeks.

One last note. My first Iranian Og Mother was awesome. Everyone who smoked it thought it was super potent. And were amazed how they did not build up a tolerance. I have never smoked anything that did better for getting you stoned day after day. Most strains might kick ass for a few days but if you smoke it regularly you build tolerance fast. Not so with this plant. Unfortunately lost it because of law enforcement.(

Well I had two pheno's of the oh Zone and the short bushy ones were better potency wise. I was not impressed and it was no 4.5 out of 5 in my opinion. I do have to say that lots of people liked it and some didn't. For newbs I guess it would be good but it takes a lot to impress this old dawg lol. I will try another of his strains someday, he's Canadian after all lol. On a side note the tall pheno was also a bitch to trim

i have been growing using HID since 1979..i like doc and his beans..


i also liked Nevil S at sensi seed bank in 1989[ before he left]

Nevil was the first person i ever talked to on the phone...i order from him a few years

and a couple strains i prefer not to think of....

i grew this recently [new seed?] and they all stayed straight..it takes anyextra week to start flowering but in the end it was superb

iran bubba and bubba chemo i think are sleeper strains..solid and versatile

blue dream..grew well..yielded great..patients really liked it..
..just not my buzz profile i guess

iran bubba for early outdoor ..

and bubba chemo for chemo pheno types..all the pheno's made good plants though

turkish D..yes i liked it doors and out

iran haze..verypowerful..even finishes outdoors up here!

iran x og finshes in time up here and indoors a good yielder for a kush=potent too

I agree about Blue dream. My friends and patients had higher opinion then me on the stone. I like the unique taste the one pheno had.

Someday I will try MTF again. I will hope the law stabilizes for best in my area. Been back and forth on what is legal last couple of years in my area. Reason I lost a couple of awesome mothers. Trying to be legal and playing # game. Went from 120 plants to 12 overnight due to crazy law changes. Law changed again. Now I can grow a few more plants. Will see what happens. Fingers crossed.

Is that Matanuska got a sweet 'fresh cornfield' taste to it?
Sposed to be a creeper aswell .
not the original plant ,but a great version of it.Always wanted that strain off him.

Dr Greedthumb buys positive reviews....doesnt stand behind his product and dosnt care that he sends out crap he knows wont germinate. STAY AWAY FROM GREENTHUMB
