I found it very frustrating dealing with these so-called cannabis doctors that know very little about cannabis. I have 2 very badly herniated discs that are pushing on my sciatic nerve it makes it almost unbearable to walk at times. When my sciatica first started I was growing/medicating a CBD strain by TGA genetics named Pennywise, it is a 1:1 thc/cbd ratio. Well to my surprise my sciatic nerve pain didn't get better but got way worse !!!
I did a bunch of research and came to find out that CBD stimulates nerves , which can be good if you suffer from seizures or other neurological disorders but not a pinched nerve !! Well I proceeded to tell this story to my cannabis Doctor Who still after all of that recommended that I use a very high-cbd cannabis strain !! I said "I don't think you're hearing me I told you that CBD makes my pain way worse"
She told me that her research said CBD was good for all types of pain and that she was the doctor . ....wtf people !!!
I'm sorry but you are flat out wrong pharmacology wise. It may be something else in the strain that was provoking the pain(I highly doubt it), such as a terpine but CBD isn't going to cause pain.
Thc also promotes nerve growth. Cannabinoids are neuroprotective antioxidants. Thc is more indicated in neurogenesis as opposed to CBD .
Also CBD reduces the psychotropic effects of thc as its an anti psychotic. That means it SLOWS STUFF DOWN (gross oversimplification)
I can buy that stuff irritated things but to nitpick at the details don't blame CBD.
It's probably the safest cannabinoid to use in therapeautic application

It's my job to know pain science, and what you're saying makes zero sense.

Correlation is not causation. Just because your pain got worse at the same time as you used the herb does not mean the herb caused that.

i hear ya.
the Dr who gave my wife her current script wants to cut in half for now and see how she does....he's told me that he doesn't think making oil is the best way to go so i should use olive oil. that means at least taking 2 1/4 cup doeages per day. that's not omnly gross but I'm sure it will cause her to gain weight and since her pain is in her feet, that will not be good.
i am blown away constantly about where they get their research from when the Government has stated there's no studies. how did they all of a sudden get this information??
i realise they are a bunch of studies but first they deny and then they quote but it seems they are looking at the wrong ones and opinions by people who have no experience. only book knowledge which doesn't mean anything.
if you look at the schematics of a bumble bee, it can not fly. wings too short, body too big etc but i have seen many of those critters flying around so it doesn't always go the way a book says
Itll make her want to go #2 a lot. What about making the olive oil more potent in order to use less? I know coconut oil works very well for this

To ignore others suffering is to ignore our own suffering. Separation is an illusion. We are all one.
Beware of the watchers. We have internal divinity. The angels only get their divinity externally. They are shells.

No, I've not gone mad. I'm just muttering forbidden knowledge...which should not be forbidden!

Nope. I do what's called "myofascial release", the general explanation for how it works is utter bullshit but I modify the techniques to fit the science.
So no lotion, slow, deep gentle pressure.
Lots of joint traction techniques

I know what you're talking about...I feel like I've been to a work out when my hour is up...it takes a lot out of me but I ultimately feel better.

that may help but she likes the oil i have made her for years. you take it in a gel cap and don't need to worry about upsetting stomach, skin break out from too much oil or guts being over active.
i am not sure where this Dr gets his info but he has lost a lot of respect by going backwards so much. when we went to him years ago, he understood about the oil and didn't really like the butter/olive oil but now does. he didn't agree with HC about the low dosing but then quoted the 1-3 g average...?? i gave him the information to show him he is very wrong about that. i think it's very old info because when Jeanine Richot took the stand, she verified the average was 18 g a day
